Luke Godden
Hi all, recently joined as I'm in the process of purchasing a 2004 WR1. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of cheap insurers for young drivers? I'm 19 and have been driving for just over a year so it's most likely out of the question until at least next year. Adjusting my details as if I was a year older etc. and the cheapest I seem to be getting is around £2500 to £3000🙃. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.👍
Tidgy
tbh £2500 is around where i would guess given your age. Most specialists wont go near you till your 25, Try the price comparison websites. Young + performance car = bend over and take it dry when it comes to insurance.
Luke Godden
Trust me I'd be happy at £2500 if I could find anything close to that... Been getting some quotes around £8000 which is just a **** take🙃. Not even temporary insurers will touch me so I'm losing all hope😢
Jay762
I think you will struggle - my lad had same issue, it wasn't the cost or affording the car he wanted (Hawk wagon) it was that the companies would not insure him
m4mo
i recently passed my test and had a scout around for cars i would like to drive as a first time driver, i was not so keen on diffrent cars like a fiesta or civic so i snached up a 1.5 2007 hatchback unitl i got a few years of ncb. i got quoted 1,800 from tesco but used a clubcard to get it reduced to 1,
