SimonnTori
Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone has a V4 Impreza running a front mount intercooler we are having a boost issue and are wondering if we routed a pipe wrong so was hoping if you wouldn’t mind sending a top view picture of your engine bay so we could compare. Thanks so much in advance.
Tidgy
What boost issue are you getting? Typicly front mount pipes only fit in one way. Bear on mind it will need mapping after fitting.
SimonnTori
It turns out we are missing the restrictor pill so have ordered that and hope that sorts our problem out we will see tomos if it arrives in post. We checked all the pipes didn’t have a leak and we had thought an air hose was fitted wrong as the one at the front was capped and the one behind went to the dump valve but after much research we found this is correct so fingers crossed the pill fixes our issue. Thanks for your reply.
savage bulldogs
Has the car been mapped for the fmic or other airflow mods ? Is it fuel cut caused by boost exceeding its target (overboost) or not boosting to the usual target ( underboost) . If its underboost ,are you sure all the fmic pipework from turbo to throttle body aren't leaking ?
SimonnTori
Hi yes the car has been mapped and the restrictor pill fixed the issue the boost problem was the gauge was going mad bouncing up and down so fast you could barely see the needle and it was hesitating also we have a fuelpump going down so have one of those on the way to replace. Thanks for your reply.
