November 18, 20214 yr Was in the throes of arranging my free winter check when the postman arrived with not one but two missives of joy from Subaru. The car has 2 urgent recalls. One for loose rear stabiliser bolts and the second to replace the coil packs. Both to be done ASAP. Car is now booked in at Simpsons in Swindon on 6th December for all the work to be done.

What MYear is yours? On the 'free' winter check offer, do you know if this has to be at the same garage that you bought the car from or can it be a Subaru dealership elsewhere?
November 18, 20214 yr Author My car is a late 2019 and the coil pack issue is a follow on from an earlier ECM recall. The winter check can be done at any dealer and that is what I am doing in fact .
November 21, 20214 yr Hi prize for stupid question of the day , I have 2018 XV , my wife opened recall letters yesterday and told be the unhappy news ,small problem I am 400 miles from home and was about to set off home today , I assume I should not be driving any great distance with these problems?!
November 22, 20214 yr Why not contact a local dealer or you'r dealer to discuss the options? I'd guess they might say it would be OK if you've not noticed and strange noises and intend to drive with some additional due care and attention?
