seanaldo1987
Hi folks. Sean, 26, from East Lothian in Scotland here. Not currently the owner of a Scooby at the moment but will be shortly. Have owned a blobeye 2.0 gx sport wagon and a forester 2.0XT in the past. Will be the proud owner of a blobeye wrx 300 by the end of the summer courtesy of the father-in-law. He bought this one only for the reason that he knew i was looking to buy one soon and it was too good an example to pass up for the price it was going for, even with a failed injector.!Does help that he is a Subaru specialist ;) Will keep things updated until I am the proud owner :)
Gambit
Welcome mate. Shame you didn't live closer to me I would know who to buy rounds for in the pub ;)
Jay762
Wotcha and welcome Sean - point your man in the direction of the site, would be great to have his opinion as well - also what is his Subaru car of choice?
seanaldo1987
Haha..... Believe me, he gets plenty beer off me when it comes to doing me favours when it comes to cars. Handy that he is a friendly MOT tester too..... Reckon the 1st thing on the cards for the scooby will be a decat downpipe. Not sure if I'll leave the centre box yet. And I'll have a look at panel filters too Defo not changing the prodrive rear section, wanna have the car looking OEM+
seanaldo1987
Jay762 - I'll say to him the next time I pop round, he's still a bit of a novice on the Internet. Getting a bit better since we got him an iPad for Xmas haha. He's had a couple of classics, a bug eye, my old forester and now the blobeye WRX 300. His favourite he has owned has to be the WRX 300..... Reckons its the cleanest example he's owned before and he got it for a steal.... Even if it needed a new injector

Gambit
Try get some pictures up ;)
seanaldo1987
pics as requested I know the decals are not to everyone's taste but i'm leaving them on for now as they are different from the usual SWRT ones you see. The car will officailly become mine on the 30th of May...... thats when (touch wood) i pick up my 5th years no claims bonus. Waiting until then means i'm able to get a much, much cheaper insurance quote. Been provisionally quoted £380 by Privelige which i think is a ridiculously low price, considering i'm a 26yr old, 7yrs driving, 5yrs protected NCB and an SP30 conviction 9 months ago, with my 27yr old fiancee as a named driver with 5yrs driving and a clean licence. Counting down the days...... 52 and counting :)
Gambit
Whoooo! looks nice. And fog covers too :) Wow that is cheap I'm paying more then that and I'm over 30 :D And I bet it's like waiting for Christmas I still get excited though when waiting for things I.E new car ;) And I would say the stickers are not for me but I do have the SWRT on mine. But each to there own I say if you like it that's all that matters mate
seanaldo1987
I'm not 100% sold on the stickers..... reckon i'll remove them at some point. I don't even have the car yet and i've drawn up a list of things i wanna do :) I would say i'm worse than a wee boy on christmas eve
Gambit
Oh we're all the same it must be the petrol running through us :D And I can relate to the job list before you even get the car. I write the to do list myself :)
Jay762
The decals are certainly different, not seen those before - got a list that keeps getting longer myself ;)
