November 20, 20241 yr Hi there any help appreciated I've bought a 2005 WRX uk300 that's had a decat. What would you suggest come mot time as it will fail. Would a sports cat be sufficient.
November 21, 20241 yr friendly MOT place 😉 Sports cats can be a bit hit and miss, mine had one for many years and did pass, but i know folks who have had them and not.
November 25, 20241 yr I put a Cobra one on my Hawk as the stock one broke. It just passed the MOT they had to get it warm before they did the analyser part. If you can run it with lots of boost to get CAT hot it will do better. A lot of sports CATs need this. Got 2nd MOT soon so I will find out. As Tidgy says they seem to be hit and miss as others have no issues. Cobra do state it will pass an MOT.
