Took it off road on the track to my boys cub camp.

Only a dirt track but probably the furthest it has ever been lol.

Needs a clean again now though lol

Cheers

Alan

Good excuse ;)

And well today was a bit uneventful after yesterday with the blobeye went so well.

I think either the clutch master or slave cylinder has gone on my bugeye :( drained down and refilled the clutch fluid and now the pressure only seem halfway down I've not even started work on the other repairs the old girls starting to go down quicker than Rolf Harris on a minor :(

Today I went to fit my middle decat pipe and the donut fell into about 100 pieces   so ordered a genuine one of eBay with fitting kit.I then fitted my turbo upgrade so that meant removing the down pipe which Im glad I did because the brackets have snapped (rusted away) so now Im thinking do I order my front decat pipe and have done so im not messing with exhausts later on

Are you getting it mapped Rick? If so then yeah may as well get it all done, less hassle :) .

Right, I have vinyl wrapped my alternator today and just been out for a bit of a thrash. When I got back I decided to check how the vinyl is holding up, it feels quite hot but not too hot. Do you think I should remove it and just have the air scoop wrapped on it own? Could do the fuse box as well so at least there are two things wrapped in there. Any thoughts?

Went to get my new exhaust and decat, OEM Re-circ valve put back on and new fuel pump fitted today plus map. But because it's me and I have no good luck whatsoever it didn't go as planned.

No matter what J Performance say on their website, that exhaust is not made to fit the Impreza. No !Removed! way. And if it is, when making it they must make it all by eye and not use any measurements at all, everything on it was out in some way or another. Thankfully Gaz at GR Performance has got mad skills. Took some time but he made that sucker fit. Some new/altered brackets, and a cut and weld and it was sorted. He did an absolutely amazing job on the welds too, they looked mint! Couldn't be happier with them. Still a further £150 wasted due to the work involved getting it to fit.

Once we fired it back up with the exhaust on and giving the car a quick check over found I was right in my belief it was blowing somewhere after all. The up pipe is !Removed! and is blowing. Brilliant... So now I've ordered one of those Harvey Smith Up Pipes I've heard so much about and had to leave it with him. Hopefully, all going well and as long as no further probs are found I'll be getting it back next Saturday.

That seems to be the way things go with me lol, nothing is ever simple. Glad you know someone with the skill to get things to fit no matter what! Shame about the up pipe, I have a feeling that's what is blowing on mine. The sound does seem to be coming from below the turbo :( . If it is I will be getting a stainless manifold and up pipe. That would just leave the downpipe that's not stainless. Best of luck getting it all sorted!
