snaill88 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Jus been looking closer at paperwork etc it's had catback put on. Will this cause any issues with fitting decat doe pipe or will it bolt straight on??
Scooby Pete Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Bolts straight on, be aware though with both cats off you will fail the MOT, unless you have a friendly tester you will need to put the cat down pipe on to pass.
snaill88 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 My mot tester just so happens to be one of best friends. Had fiesta st before this which was totally straight thro n tht was ok N if it's pretty easy wouldn't be a headache to change for mot really. Would the downpipe go all the way to the back box or would I also need a new centre pipe??
Scooby Pete Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 The exhaust is 3 sections, Down pipe, centre pipe and back box. One the standard system both down pipe and centre pipe have cats. In a cat back this is normally a straight through centre pipe and a larger bore back box. Look under the car and when looking at the centre pipe it should be a straight through and not have a bulge for the cat. A decat down pipe will fit regardless of the centre pipe having a cat or not. Just make sure it's the correct bore as you can ger 2.5 and 3" bore. Sorry if teaching granny to suck eggs :) 1
snaill88 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 I see from other places online and when looking tht there is 1 and 2 piece ones. The one price looks bigger does this go all the way to the back box?? Sorry if sounding stupid
Scooby Pete Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Post a pic or link of what you are looking at. Tbh your prob better of posting in the Impreza club rather than new members, that's more for these kind of questions and you'll get more responses.
