gary88ross
Hi don't want to be a pain but as my scoob is like a jumble of bits ,the dash is fine till it gets to the trim that goes round gear stick and where Stereo is the parts that's in it don't fit am thinking there pre facelift and not fitting my facelift dash,so has anyone got some pictures of a pre and facelift dash and clocks so I can try find right bits driving me bonkers like a jigsaw trying to piece it all up thanks Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs
Dunno if this pic helps it's from when I first got mine so excuse the fugly steering wheel lol
gary88ross
Thanks that facelift dash my dash looks same as that up in till the trim round Stereo then it doesn't fit same as trim with handbrake and gear stick think they are pre face bits it's like a jigsaw Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs
Mines a v3 they come with facelift bonnet / lights and preface bumper/dash ;-) so the dash/ interior in my pic is preface the facelift dash has a bulge above the center air vents , top glove box or air bag on the passenger side and it hasn't got that ridge running all the way from drivers side to passengers side near the windscreen like mine
gary88ross
Mines a 1996 facelift the dash looks same as that Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
gary88ross
Just the Stereo and handbrake trims don't seem to fit Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs
Confusing I know but most people class a facelift as a full change ( v4 i think had the dash but preface bumper) V5 full Facelift had the lights , bonnet , different front bumper (smaller indicators) and different dash . v3's were a half facelift just the lights and bonnet I'll try to dig out a pic of a facelift dash ;-)

savage bulldogs
Just checked your code on the list on here and it says yours is a v2 ( mabey v3 pending on exactly when it was made) wrx . which should have the phase 1fuel set up v1 /v2 inlet, snorkel turbo ,preface dash, interior , bonnet and lights as far as im aware. Versions are the look of the car and spec . phases are the fuel rail and injector set up

savage bulldogs
Been puzzling me a bit lol what makes you say it's got a phase 2 v5 loom and engine ? As this is the only thing that doesn't add up unless it's had a loom change or has a later v5 4plug ecu fitted . I have dug out this info which ties up with your plate , year , model code and engine number are all the same for a 96 wrx with 280 hp . gary88ross
If u have one fiqured out its a pre face dash in mine now Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs
Yeah if it's the same as mine it's preface fella . stanton that was only for wrxs I'm afraid I bookmark random pages I stumble across while researching for my mods . Not that I believe everything I read on the net , even that wrx info is a bit inaccurate as the really early wrxs and sti's had 380cc injectors as standard and I've never heard of 470cc injectors in a scoob ;-) Did find a random ecu write up for classics that was interesting today lol http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/stock-ecu-discussion/53009-stock-sti-gc8-engine-control-unit-numbers-specs.html
