R0llamite Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 eBay kits range from about£160 to about £3000, any one had any experience with any or have a recommended kit, guna save for one but mainly the remap afterwards, just looking for one that wont be a pile of crap. will be spraying FORGE over it as well ;)
Jay762 Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 wasnt someone on here wanting to sell a full FMIC kit? - might be some time ago though
savage bulldogs Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 About the cheapest brands I know of that give good results are japspeed , autobahn and hybrid design intercoolers . Id stay away from the unbranded "eBay specials " and toyosports as I've read the flow and heaksoak are a issue . I've got a hdi fmic myself and can't fault the quality , but their probably the most expensive on my list at about £500 .
Gambit Posted July 5, 2014 Posted July 5, 2014 If you ring Japspeed I spoke with TJ and he's offered members 10% discount if you let them know when ordering that you are a S.O.C member :D 1
Mr B Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 ebay kits range from about£160 to about £3000, any one had any experience with any or have a recommended kit, guna save for one but mainly the remap afterwards, just looking for one that wont be a pile of crap. will be spraying FORGE over it as well ;) Spraying FORGERY maybe more appropriate ! :-) You want be careful with these kits as if you test the charge temps on them & flow rate they are far from a decent investment/upgrade, plus the pipework routing is awful, short run design is done for a reason.
R0llamite Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 thanks guys, will be waiting till ive got enough cash spare anyways but will probably go with a branded one around the 500 mark without the exessive piping
cheech Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 Thinking of getting a japspeed myself is their any complications in fitting fmic to a 2008 sti sharkeye
