Hi guys.

I've received some free tickets through Subaru for this show!

Just wondering if anyone else has been sent the free invites, and who else is going?

I'm hoping the weather stays nice and dry!

Thinking about heading to Cadwell on the 9th to see Simons beast of a car from Jolly Green Monster :)

Nice one buddy. It's meant to be a really nice show, and the tickets are worth £16 pound each.

This is the blurb on the email for the tickets....

"Subaru are key sponsors of this years Lowther Show, set in the stunning Cumbrian countryside. As a friend of Subaru, we would like to offer you free tickets to the show, complimentary speciality coffees, and the best seats in the house - theres no catch! It would be great to see you there."

I wonder what to expect reading that?

To be honest I've not decided. I was going to choose the best day weather-wise, but I'm thinking Sunday would be better and maybe less busy?

Looking like the Sunday for us now fella...SWMBO has gone and organised herself a girlie social do on the Saturday [emoji54]

Good effort....should have no trouble spotting you if you're taking the wrx.....I'll just look for the throng of folk perving at your car [emoji6]

Lol. I would have rather taken our more economical other family car than the Subaru, but I would feel a bit cheeky rocking up with my free tickets and not be in the Subaru.

Added to that, if the weather is wet - then most of these types of show are a nightmare to get in/out of because they park everyone in fields that get churned up with wet mud.

Saturday is an absolute no-go for me due to my daughter needing to be in Barnard Castle for a wedding.

But looking at the weather forecast for Sunday........i'm not sure we'll be going at all now. It will end up a mud-fest.

Yeah, it doesn't look great for Sunday. Think our plan is to go early, as SWMBO needs to be back in Durham for 3.30pm for her social do

We'll, the blue beast is all clean and shiny. Even hoovered her out and shot-in another airfreshener.

Hoping that the rain stays away to at least get there clean in the morning.

I thought you weren't going mate. We had a good 3 hours there earlier today. Very busy and the queuing for tickets to get in was chaotic at best. They have 1 window set aside for subaru tickets, yet only 1 queue [emoji54]

Once you've got tkts and wristbands, the subaru tent thing is at the far end just behind the Isuzu cars and stand...free hot drinks and pastries with the wristbands.

The subaru cars are not far from there.... The other end of the ridge above one of the show grounds. Got xv's, foresters and an outback there.

Enjoyed it a lot, especially for free [emoji41]

Be interesting if it rains though, like you say, with parking on a sloping field. Not muddy today, but you could tell it had rained yesterday.

Saw a few other scoobs parked....shark eye hatch and another outback come to mind

Definitely worth the trip, loads and loads there. Big local foods section and lots of outdoor type shops and stalls. Lots of dog showing and horse and trap events. Just close your ears to the hooray Henry set and you'll be fine. Parking was well organised and safe, to be fair mate
