  1. That looks like the spare one I've got, it's a 17, I'll check just shortly if it's the same style
  2. I don't have the space to break either, my stretch would taking off what I wanted and scrapping the rest or selling as is, it's quite low miles for it's year but that and being a wrx turbo is all it's got going for it in it's favour. The thing is too, I'm one of people that can't make up their mind easy
  3. Ok thanks, mine's standard black though, bulb wise I had a blue, a red, a clear then nothing, god know what was going on, all the originals were in the glove box....I'll have another look at tomorrow, but I'm really buggered. If I saw something obvious, it'd be different, see what happens. Yea, never had a cable like that before, I prefer the clocks from the 98 sport ie the fuel and temp at the left....plus because it's a UK spec, you get a wee digital above them, you get bugger all in the wrx, which I think's bollox!
  4. If you've got no joy with them i'd try a breakers or part search, what year is it
  5. I know....I just texed him, he said it's a hooky one, I said hooky or not, no garage ever needs your log book for an mot, ever!....I know it's up to him but I just hope he doesn't or it'll probably disappear, be cloned, both
  6. With this....a friend's getting his car mot'd but said the garage want his current mot and log book, it's a garage he's not used before, I said don't as they've no reason for it, he's never been asked for in the past and neither have I. The garage he uses have closed just now so needs somewhere else. I said to use the one I use but he doesn't like them.....it's just this they want his log book carry on.....I wouldn't.....unless he's getting a hooky one, but they still wouldn't want/need the !Removed! log book......I smell a clone/scam/theft
  7. No its not that because I swapped the 3 from the speedo to it and vice versa but was still the same, the bulbs have a turquoise rubber cover, not that that matters, it's the wattage, I'm buggered if I know what's wrong
  8. Yea that's the way I worked it out......but it's the bulbs, I don't understand why the rev counter's brighter than the speedo despite the same bulb wattage
  9. Now for some stupid !Removed! reason the speedo's brighter than the rev counter despite all the same wattage of bulbs....god knows why......oh and I now know it's easier to to disconnect the cable from the gearbox....what a !Removed! setup!
  10. Got them out and the bulbs changed....but how the hell do you get your hand in behind them to connect the speedo cable?
  11. Of a 95 wrx....the surround came off easy and got the 4 screws that them on, but when I go to pull them out they only move about an inch, and you cant get your hand inn behind to feel or disconnect anything....Gambit, Jay, Miggs....help! ....I'm changing the bulbs from chavvy blue to original
  12. Lol....don't know about the Prius, but I've still got the 306 hdi...yep, think I am old :)
  13. I would agree with the chav rep, but at the same, when I see them now, they're usually driven sensible, I'm a bit self conscious/paranoid in the wrx because of the exhaust and the 'wrx' sticker on the tailgate, I've also got s Forge dump, but I deliberately stay out boost so it doesn't hiss, especially through main st's....must be my age. Chavy car....yep
  14. The sport's always going to be better than a wrx, even taking it easy in the wrx, it's still a greedy ******, as it's mapped from the factory for power
  15. That's right, so maybe get that....I got the brakes done yesterday (myself) but flaring's !Removed! tricky, well getting them to seal is, I though I'd mastered it but there's still a slight weep/leak, it's a pita
  16. Is copper nickel a better pipe or just stick to copper
  17. Maybe, but it's all the go faster s h I t e that's on it too, I'd rather get it off and sell it standard....I'll see what happens as I still don't know what to do, whether with it or the other
  18. Yea that's what they probably then sold it on, I wouldn't do it either especially when there's holes near the suspension like I found
  19. Yea anything can be fixed, it's all down to cost and if they can afford it Having said that, I found a rear subframe for 80 but I know it's still the carry on with rusted bolts and worn/buggered bushes getting it off, so would end up costing 100+ easy....that's IF I could do it. Then there's the welding at the top inside the arches near the strut mount, they're about 9-10" long and about 3-4" high...that's big !Removed! holes ffs...I took a couple of photos yesterday but they're crap as I couldn't get the right angle What gets me is just how the fk it passed the mot last Feb...holes like don't happen in a couple months, no way!
  20. I hope you see my post just above Jay's
  21. Yea thanks Miggs that's a great post, really appreciated :)....but That's only 1/4 of the dilemma, I need a subframe I also need welding up at the inside near the top off the back strut (both sides) as it crumbled in my hands yesterday. If I do get it fixed, I'll need to keep for a !Removed! long time (which I don't mind as I like it for it's originality) but at the same I really need to think about it and weigh things up just what to do
