  1. Cause the front one on mine crumbled away yesterday when putting a caliper on....if it is a fail, how hard are they to get and put on
  2. Ok, bit it's the damage it's maybe already did, I'll get a photo of underneath tomorrow
  3. On the wagon at the bottom where the jack sits, both sides....Infact underneath at the back behind the wheel arch, it's badly rusted (I'll get a photo), that's why there's a smell of dampness. When out earlier, when I was stopping, I was rolling back slowly to stop, when I did, I could water swirling asset the back, where would it coming in. I'm now having doubts about the car as it might a lot of welding for the mot if it's structural and part of the chassis...this is on the non turbo I picked. If it's that bad I'll maybe end selling it and keeping the turbo and using it wisely, but I use a car daily so would be !Removed! expressive, honest to god!
  4. Sorry, yea I meant to say that the brackets would need changed, shouldn't be to hard though, and yes it'd only for from the cat back because of the turbo
  5. Just that....the wrx is a 95 and a full stainless decat, the non is a 98....just wondered
  6. Recommend a decent gas blow torch, I've saw the name Rothenberg and Mapp but expensive, I expected to get one (maybe not these names) for about 20 odd quid. I also read the Mapp gas is better/hotter than butane and loosening rusty bolts ect.....advice and opinions please
  7. Lol...that's one of putting it, like I say, wtf are Sub all about with 2 cats!....after the mot in a couple of months, if the wrx doesn't sell, I'll take the exhaust off (full stainless) not for the noise, but means I can hopefully keep the original for mot's.....whether that goes to plans is anyone's guess
  8. Yep thanks Jay!.....it's the 2nd cat, bad enough having 1 but the n/a's have 2 ffs, what's that's all about
  9. The right side of the photo is the front....it's on a 98 non turbo wagon
  10. I can see my taking some bits off and scrapping the rest....i'll give it till the weekend and if no takers...
  11. I know, I did think about it but just don't have the space, and like you say, i'd have bits everywhere that didn't sell, it would be a right pita....I advertised local saying h/g needs done, so see what happens, I've a feeling it's not going to sell. I'd thought about taking the exhaust off (full stainless) front I/c and pipes, new front brakes, wheels, and scrap the rest
  12. Do you mean you would swap the calipers on the non turbo with the new ones I just put on the turbo if they're (ones on the non turbo) ok.....yes they seem fine, it'd need to swap mounts too....I just thought about it. I could probably swap m/c's too but then i'd be selling a car with dodgy front brakes and h/g......wouldn't get much at all despite having 5 months and tax
  13. I know, I thought that (as in leave it alone) Having said that, I was thinking of swapping calipers, discs ect as just 2 weeks ago I got them at Euro...£220...I just wanted the use out them instead of letting them go with a car i'll loose money on
  14. I hope so (as in wirth buying) Yea I like the shape, allways have, plus it's awd, and unfettled with...it'll hopefully do me I took a couple yesterday, I'll attatch them shortly So shouldnt be that hard to blank I could use the one from the turbo but if I did, I'd need to either break the rest but dont have the room, or sell as spares/repairs...literally Photos...one on the left is the non turbo
  15. So I could use the turbo one and blank the clutch hole, is that easy done or no Yea went for one of them, I don't need a turbo the way I drive, I guess I got mine through rose coloured specs....I'll hopefully get the brakes ironed out It need part of the exhaust too, as there's a slight blow, nothing serious though Yep, the non turbo will do me...plus it's in better condition than the turbo and only had 2 owners, I'm the 3rd
  16. Thanks Gambit, yep that should fit, it's a 2.0 sport I picked up but has a braking problem, a mate pressure bled it today (just the fronts) but made no diffirence. if you pump the pedal a few times, you get not to bad a brake, but seconds later, it's down to the floor, and so far there's no leaking
  17. For a 98 2.0 Sport non turbo...I've been looking through ebay ect and everytime I put the car in the drop menu the part wont fit.....it's a UK model, the turbo one's diffirent as it does the clutch too I think
  18. Thanks, yea I saw their ad, it's just that I don't know who's good or bad
  19. I guess after 40 views, nothing...I'm really beginning to think Jay, Gambit (and someone else I can't think of) are the only ones on this site that answer
  20. A decent mobile valeting service in south Glasgow, I'll Google it but it's just incase anyone's used someone they'd recommend
  21. Thanks, will have a look tomorrow
  22. A brake pedal to go to the floor, you've still got a brake bit hardly any, if you pump it you get some pressure again not much....master, slave (if there is one) or pipes
  23. The word "import" goes against it too....it's a lose lose for turbo import owners, it's no wonder you can buy them (older models anyway) for buttons
