  1. Have started the new topic as suggested. Set a Thursday in 3 weeks, thought next week was too early and then the next week I have to be up at 530am on the Friday so gave that a miss. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/4859-west-yorkshire-meet-march-6th/
  2. Hey everyone, As you may have seen we have been trying to organize a meet in West Yorkshire, have settled on Meeting at Richard Henry Motorsport and then going on to a pub. Set and tentative date of Thursday 6th of March meeting at about 530pm. Richard Henry Autos Ltd. Unit 5 Bowling Park Close Bradford BD4 7HG Tel: 01274 732508 E.Mail [email protected] Who can do this date? Comment below so we can get numbers and I can talk to the guys at Richard Henry about it. Pommy Stanton500 BlackBOSH (Away In Kenya) Fonzey Interceptor11 D4 UEH Feel free to message with any questions. Thanks
  3. Thanks Gambit, will get it sorted and send you a message when I have.
  4. I will get that done either later tonight or tomorrow morning, just about to head out for dinner. Gasket went well, both sides done within a few hours and only £100. And some nice cars to have a look at while waiting for taxi to pick me up
  5. Hey guys, would appreciate available times but the end of the weekend so that I could get a date organized. Thanks for everyone who has given dates.
  6. Not a problem sure we can sort something out. And does anyone know of any pub around Bradford/Leeds with a big car park for afterwards? There is the old tram shed in Saltaire but not sure of the car park size
  7. Thanks, I am free Wednesday afternoon and evenings, Thursday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, and at a push Tuesday Evenings, hopefully one of those dates will be best with everyone. If you just comment below so we can find the most suitable that would be great.
  8. Had a quick chat with them today when I dropped off my car, they are more than happy to have it there. Although there are no cafe's or facilities there. But the car park is very big so can fit a lot of people. As far as time go they can do most times without too many problems. And they always have some interesting metal around the car park. We could always start there and then go on to a pub or something, have a bit of a drive then as well. Let me know what you're thinking.
  9. Thanks Miggs, I have seen some photo's of classics without wings and not sure that I like the way they look. As I said before I like a car with a big scoop and a big wing or with nothing at all. After I have fitted my brakes and turbo timer I will then be putting a cold air intake system in. Just have to find the time to do all this work!!!
  10. I have asked the people at Richard Henry Motorsport in Bradford and they seem interested in hosting, I am going there on Thursday to get the gaskets reaplced on my car (I just don't have the time) and will chat in some more detail with them then. Is there anything in particular people want me to ask them? It will be my first car meet so any advice or comments no matter how basic would be appreciated.
  11. I would be coming from Bradford so Squires is a bit of a trek. Sunday afternoon is best for me because of work and uni. Having said this squires does sound perfect for a meet. I can ask around if anyone knows of anywhere for a meet and see what comes up.
  12. Thanks for the advice guys. Think I will leave this idea for a while. Gambit there are two ways that I like my cars. Either loud and proud or sleeper. And I like the idea of a sleeper impreza. But that would mean a bonnet with no vents which isn't practical and spoilerless. So with that in mind I think I will leave it as is. And spend money and time upgrading elsewhere.
  13. I'd be up for a meet, realistically can't do Jap meet due to commitments on Tuesday evenings. But a different time would be good with me.
  14. mmm that is unfortunately what I thought, it it possible to replace the scoop with a grill or something like that? Have seen kits for the later models but not for GC8. Does anyone know of any?
  15. Running a 2000 year turbo 2000 ad wondering if it is feasible to run a non turbo bonnet or if anyone has done this before? Getting mixed messages while googling but most people say the big scoop and 2 side pods are just cosmetic. Although I thought that the left pod was used for cooling turbo? Can someone point me in the right direction. If this is possible I think I will then be taking the rear wing off and having the car a bit more subtle. Thanks
  16. Had Virgin Fibre optic for 4 years in 3 different houses, 1 in Sheffield and the last 2 in Bradford, 10Mps in Sheffield and then 30Mbps in Bradford, no problems and very quick in Sheffield, and then nothing but problems in Bradford, slow internet speed (0.06Mbps) isn't uncommon, and laggy as hell when working making gaming of any kind hard. Customer service is rubbish with Virgin media. Dealt with sky for my parents and found them ok. Only reason for using Virgin is the deal we have with them so it is very cheap. Hopefully try another provider soon as I am sick of the inconsistency.
  17. Yeah go in and see them. Always up for a chat there. And if you do a meet let me know and I will do my best to make it.
  18. Hey Stanton, I have used them before on the advice of this site and confirm that they are very good. Know there stuff extremely well, very friendly, and good prices. They have a facebook page which is relatively active and they reply to questions quickly. https://www.facebook.com/groups/346040042142118/?fref=ts Just phoned them and have cancelled the alignment but getting gaskets on both sides done, £100 for both which seems pretty good to me. And got the alignment the week after for £72 from Simon Green is Horsforth after many good reviews on pistonheads and other sites. Will report back when done
  19. Well I will look at them, much much cheaper which would be nice for now as I have other things I want to buy....
  20. Is that a full geo?
  21. So it does work off chrome...
  22. Definitely the drivers side, but I also see oil on the driveway on the passenger side so could be both... will have a proper look tomorrow again may have to get them both done, doesn't seem like a hard job but I already have a backlog of parts to put on it and no time!!! 5 days at uni and then working weekends to buy nice things for my car!!! Also got quoted £100 for a full geometry which I thought was decent given Richard Henry's knowledge. Anyone else think this is a good price? Or can I get just as good for less. I know a 4 wheel laser alignment is £50 from some places but not sure if they will be as good.
  23. well the saga continues, am still unable to embed images properly. Using the same codes as I have previously on forums the IMG code from photobucket and the link is coming up but not the photo. Jay762 was kind enough to embed the photo's in my for sale ad (thanks a lot I owe you a pint) but it would be better if I could do it. The first one works as shown below but none of the others work (again using ie on win 8.1) will try chrome in the next post below to see if it is ie. But anyone have any idea what it could be? http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag84/pommy150/Car/IMG_6078_zpse2826dba.jpg
  24. Hey, Up for sale is my Nardi wheel which came with the car, I prefer the standard momo so have replaced this wheel. In good condition, however buyer will have to get a horn push as this wheel never had one. Looking for £50 collected. Also have a kenwood amp which came with the car which I neither want or need. Don't really know much about it so putting it up for £60 but please correct me if I'm wrong (either too much or too little) more photos available upon request. For some reason not able to embed photo's so the link I have put below this is to my photobucket account, obviously find the relative photo in the album (bunch of mx5 stuff up there as well so just ignore) Any questions or information required message me or reply here. Thanks
