  1. What are the upgrade options for the caliper? Already got a 4 pot system and new pads and discs are waiting to go on this week already.
  2. So my problem seems like a caliper then. It is on four pot calipers. So guess I will be rebuilding a caliper soon.
  3. On the way to work and back I have noticed a problem. When accelerating the car is juddering. The brake pedal is much much harder and much higher up the pedal travel. And the front right brake was smoking when I arrived. And I didn't brake heavily or anything like that. And the steering was vibrating at 55mph and above. Could it be a seized calliper? Will have a proper look either tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday depending on time but any info on what to look for would be great.
  4. Good to hear. The more the merrier
  5. 530am isn't a normal start for a student though... so probably need a few extra hours sleep
  6. Yeah we can definitely do that. But we can sort that out more later. Try and get this one done and organised and names and numbers first. Please comment here of available for 6th March.
  7. Fair enough mate. Assumed you were Leeds local. If this meet goes well I will probably try and set up more. At different times and days so we can get as many people as possible.
  8. Yeah if you come through armley. Down the stanningley bypass and then down Leeds road it is very close to the end. Only takes about 25-30 mins from Central Leeds. Not too bad.
  9. You can always come later. Coming down the non motorway isn't as bad normally. I do it for work in about half an hour. Or you can meet at pub? Don't want to start too late because Richard Henry's is staying late for us and close at 530.
  10. Have started the new topic as suggested. Set a Thursday in 3 weeks, thought next week was too early and then the next week I have to be up at 530am on the Friday so gave that a miss. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/4859-west-yorkshire-meet-march-6th/

Pommy Stanton500 BlackBOSH (Away In Kenya) Fonzey Interceptor11 D4 UEH Feel free to message with any questions. Thanks
  12. Thanks Gambit, will get it sorted and send you a message when I have.
  13. I will get that done either later tonight or tomorrow morning, just about to head out for dinner. Gasket went well, both sides done within a few hours and only £100. And some nice cars to have a look at while waiting for taxi to pick me up
  14. Hey guys, would appreciate available times but the end of the weekend so that I could get a date organized. Thanks for everyone who has given dates.
  15. Not a problem sure we can sort something out. And does anyone know of any pub around Bradford/Leeds with a big car park for afterwards? There is the old tram shed in Saltaire but not sure of the car park size
  16. Thanks, I am free Wednesday afternoon and evenings, Thursday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, and at a push Tuesday Evenings, hopefully one of those dates will be best with everyone. If you just comment below so we can find the most suitable that would be great.
  17. Had a quick chat with them today when I dropped off my car, they are more than happy to have it there. Although there are no cafe's or facilities there. But the car park is very big so can fit a lot of people. As far as time go they can do most times without too many problems. And they always have some interesting metal around the car park. We could always start there and then go on to a pub or something, have a bit of a drive then as well. Let me know what you're thinking.
  18. Thanks Miggs, I have seen some photo's of classics without wings and not sure that I like the way they look. As I said before I like a car with a big scoop and a big wing or with nothing at all. After I have fitted my brakes and turbo timer I will then be putting a cold air intake system in. Just have to find the time to do all this work!!!
  19. I have asked the people at Richard Henry Motorsport in Bradford and they seem interested in hosting, I am going there on Thursday to get the gaskets reaplced on my car (I just don't have the time) and will chat in some more detail with them then. Is there anything in particular people want me to ask them? It will be my first car meet so any advice or comments no matter how basic would be appreciated.
  20. I would be coming from Bradford so Squires is a bit of a trek. Sunday afternoon is best for me because of work and uni. Having said this squires does sound perfect for a meet. I can ask around if anyone knows of anywhere for a meet and see what comes up.
  21. Thanks for the advice guys. Think I will leave this idea for a while. Gambit there are two ways that I like my cars. Either loud and proud or sleeper. And I like the idea of a sleeper impreza. But that would mean a bonnet with no vents which isn't practical and spoilerless. So with that in mind I think I will leave it as is. And spend money and time upgrading elsewhere.
  22. I'd be up for a meet, realistically can't do Jap meet due to commitments on Tuesday evenings. But a different time would be good with me.
  23. mmm that is unfortunately what I thought, it it possible to replace the scoop with a grill or something like that? Have seen kits for the later models but not for GC8. Does anyone know of any?
  24. Running a 2000 year turbo 2000 ad wondering if it is feasible to run a non turbo bonnet or if anyone has done this before? Getting mixed messages while googling but most people say the big scoop and 2 side pods are just cosmetic. Although I thought that the left pod was used for cooling turbo? Can someone point me in the right direction. If this is possible I think I will then be taking the rear wing off and having the car a bit more subtle. Thanks
  25. Yeah go in and see them. Always up for a chat there. And if you do a meet let me know and I will do my best to make it.
