  2. Congrats are in order matey.
  3. welcome :) any pics of your mighty ride ?
  4. like you said could have been sat a while an suffered neglect.
  5. Ash007ks replied to Gambit's topic in Junk Room
5.6 months to complete, now that's dedication.
  6. toyo sports usually have cracking exhausts and are at a great price as well.
  7. one of the biggest causes is like gambit says salt, I would have a look through previous owners and see if they lived anywhere near the sea, my bugeye that ive recently got rid of was literally missing the front scuttle in places and even had scabs on the roof from the salt getting under the paint :/
  8. cheapest route is a decat but bear in mind you will need a place that does MOT or just change it every year or as stated a cobra sports cat :)
  9. give a Subaru breakers yard a ring and see what they would offer ?
  10. what is the full plate as my old one was 555slc and I gained that for £300 ? Have you had it valued or ?
  11. Dont worry about it matey, realised i missed it iff my previous post saying that its the STI that uses forged parts. :)
  12. Just to let you know for future miggs the STI type Uk come with forged internals and as such can take more power.
  13. Nick Sc are very good at giving you the worst news, they mapped my car and told me the turbo had gone and tried to force a billet turbo down my neck, turns out the laddo had forgot to attach the boost solenoid, I can have a word with my mate and can pop down this weekend and get him to check it over for you if you like but I can assure you last time I asked it wasn't a grand for a rebuild lol.
  14. Very nice looking car :) as Gambit has already beaten me too it a car meet will be held on the 8th feel free to pop a long and hopefully we can share some tips or if you have any questions on modding hopefully they will be answered :)
  15. I can get my mate to get you the Exedy clutch and will be brand new ?
  16. Sorry im late to the party but for future reference Auto glym bug and tar remove does it without any damage to your paint :)
  17. Hi savage, I would have got a video but the Subaru is a tad on the poorly side and wouldn't give an honest showing of the baffle
  18. haha whys that nick, can pop down anytime. infact if you need a visit to the garage I can go down with you as mine it turns out has no gaskets on the heads, or sump :) and as such is leaking oil :) . Just a bit of weee advice if your planning on running big power and im not trying to put you off its just ive looked into it , STI internals and closed block are good for over 450bhp if it has Forged internals, standard cooler is good for 300 maybe more, STI intercooler is good for over 350 but by this stage most start to Run front mount intercoolers but beware of the lag, Turbo again is down to preference but steer well away from the over priced billet turbos from Scooby clinic ( which arnt even made by them they are imported and have there names added) id be looking at Either an Andy forrest turbo hybrid or get in touch with Turbo Dynamics ( good company ) built my current stage 3 hybrid for fez RS, Bigger injectors and Fuel pump will be needed as well. I would and this is purely down to my preference get a multi stage boost controller and have 3 maps put on it, Race obviously most power, Town some boost, and eco next to no boost. I think the power that you have now is bang on what I would want any more and you risk taking it past daily driver and lets face it more power/less reliable, but I too have the power bug :) hope this helps. :)
  19. such a waste of what look like a great car, good luck in finding a new one and I shall ask around for you.
  20. Hi not too sound like a stickler but I was asking for pictures as I was genuinely interested due to needing a set.
  21. looks in excellent nick good luck with the sale
  22. Did you check for any damage ? could have had shocks replaced with different ones as a fix ? and was it modified when you bought it ?
  23. Sometimes they do sit slightly lower, but this could also indicate slightly worn springs, how long have you owned the vehicle ??
