  1. Looking good 👍 Where did you get your bushings from ? I need a set of front wishbone bushes for fossy, may as well do the whole car over Xmas. I did find a supplier of Duraflex red bushes, £380 for everything but it’s overseas shipping, I’d rather not get stung but import tax if I can help it.
  2. Glad we could help buddy, hopefully you can get back to that sweet suby rumble soon 👍
  3. They call it a “grounding line” or “earth strip” The one in the fozzy for the pioneer is sticky backed and flexible metal, the one in my Ford pick up is a nextbase antenna and has a magnet on the back attached by a thick black cable. It is just an earth, most aftermarket DAB radios have a powered antenna, both of my radios take power from the same cable that runs from the antenna to the radio, the earth attaches to either the A pillar or the inside of the roof. Iv attached both to the inside of the roof, just means I can mount the window part as far up into the roof lining as possible.
  4. Iv had quite a few problems with ICP in the past, iv been waiting nearly 3 month for a set of camber bolts for the front lower shocks on my GC8. I also had a rear sway bar from them for a blob eye twist, I’m not talking 1000hp drag car either, pretty stock 180hp daily driver. They did send a replacement though.
  5. Nice build 👍 Where did you get your arches from ? I’m looking to do a wide stance set up on my SF, iv got a set from a GC8 and a set from a blob eye, my plan was to attach them using nutserts but the fronts don’t quite look right 🤔
  6. A lot of the classic GC8 Impreza parts fit the SF. I have a 1999 SF Turbo S that has an Impreza STI engine and gearbox swap, it’s also running on Impreza GC8 coil overs with slightly modified top hats for the rear, fronts were direct bolt on. Running with a full Impreza exhaust system too. I would start with the turbo 2000 Impreza GC8, parts are pretty cheap and easily found being broken on either eBay or gumtree. Failing that contact https://www.nipponautospares.com They have an eBay store off the same name, iv bought hundreds of parts from them over the years, all used parts so pretty cheap but they’ve always been good quality used parts.
  7. Welcome buddy Where about a in Northumberland you from ? Personally I would go for Michelin pilot sport 2’s if the budget allows them, second set Iv had now, I got them for a steal too, £320 fitted and balanced.
  8. The Pioneer system I got was a direct plug and play, took around half an hour to install myself. I am a qualified mechanic but it is all basic plug in stuff, the only thing that can be a pain is the digital aerial, that needs to have a grounding strap attached to the inside of the roof, that means I had to remove the passenger sun visor and the front passenger door trim at the top in order to fold the roof lining back to access the roof. Most of the new head units come with an app so setting them up is easy as can be.
  9. It’s a bit late forgive me but I am new 😄 Alternatively if you open up the alarm siren box inside the engine bay you can disconnect the siren itself, it’s usually a 3 wire or 2 wire plug in connection, my sigma is a 2 wire, standard live and ground. That way you can still use your fob to activate the central locking and your repeaters will still flash when the alarm is triggered. My alarm was not making any noises and it turned out to be a dead siren speaker.
  10. Iv got apple car play fitted to my 99 Forester Turbo S I bought a pioneer head unit with car play, along with digital radio and hands free, the model I bought comes in either 1 Din, 2 Din or Din touch screen, I only bought it about 5 weeks ago but it did cost around the £230 mark plus digital radio antenna. It does come with an app too to set everything up, change display, change time and date etc, the app is called pioneer smart sync, unsure of the model number but I will include a pic of it installed.
  11. My 01 Impreza sport special edition in cashmere yellow. Full Cusco suspension and Cusco strut braces front and rear both upper and lower. Carbon wrapped boot, roof, bonnet and grill, version 4 StI spoiler, stainless headers then straight through piped with a hks super dragger rear box. Owned for around 8 years with no More major mods planned. My 99 Forester Turbo S in split met grey and white. STI version 4 engine, STI version 1 5 speed gearbox, rear diff, shafts and hubs, all from an RA I believe.? Custom front grill, TEIN street master coil overs, STI version 3 Momo steering wheel, short shifter, flocked interior sitting on 19x9.5 replica oz super turismo alloys in dark bronze. Full stainless steel ninja turbo back exhaust, non resonated with decat. Owned for around 6 weeks now, bought bog standard from an elderly gentleman who had it from new. Plans for lower lip front and rear, side skirts, spoiler extension and possibly a custom wide arch kit. I’m also planning on doing headers, up pipe and change the exhaust, the system that is on were a spare parts I had laying around.

  12. Evening all, my names Pete, I’m from Newcastle. long time Subaru owner, I count 6 Impreza’s, 1 legacy gtb and just recently bought a 99 SF forester turbo S. I have had with a version 4 STI engine, it was rebuilt last year in September and has only done 500 mile since rebuild. It also has a version 1 STI gearbox and running gear (spare gear I had from an old project that never happened, I believe they’re from an RA) I also own a 2001 Impreza classic facelift sports special edition in cashmere yellow. Iv owned this for around 7-8 years now, it’s been garaged for the past 3 and spent the last 8 month as a driveway ornament as I no longer had a space in my mates garage for it. I was a member of CFNE so some people may recognise the Impreza, (it’s a custard creme colour with black carbon wrapped boot, roof, bonnet and front grill with black and white Cusco graphics along the side) Iv just not had much time for projects over the past few years.
