  1. All looking mint too shame about the p1 they've held good value for sometime now too :( So hows the 2014 feeling better than the older grandads :)
  2. Hi mate welcome back to the family fold ;) and to S.O.C feel free to jump in on the forum good bunch on here so you should feel welcome :) And nice list of cars owned feel free to post any pictures up if you have anymore of the older cars :D
  3. You can try our insurance. Adrian Flux. Or Keith Michaels. Greenlight. Greenlight gave me my best quote so far. But Adrian Flux gets my list as Keith Michaels said they couldn't get close to matching my missus quote. But don't want to say not to try, as many use Keith and are happy. [emoji106] [emoji6]
  4. I'd not hear a bad word about Martin. Possibly one of the most genuine guy's I've ever met. One of a few things Ash has done well with for this forum haha [emoji1]
  5. I agree if it's a bad badge they should be covering. Look at them vw emissions dodging w8nkers ;)
  6. Strange I've only ever used exeedy clutches and never had an issue. Not saying you're wrong by all means sharing is important. So I'm interested to see the feedback of the alternatives. Same thing happened with fuel pumps I rate RCM more than the other leading brands. :)
  7. Sorry to hear Rik mate. And sorry for your son too. In fairness to the Subaru community well the genuine enthusiasts you're only the 2nd person I've seen it happen too. Well from this forum anyway. And sound like a **** who sold you the car. So I wouldn't let it put you off having another one or buying privately. :(
  8. Yeah they're not cheap nor are the disc's and pads. :)
  9. He sand blasts them the lot. Could say they're new really time he's done with them. :)
  10. Paint doesn't chip off or anything every part is stripped rebuild and new parts added. I recommended them as a customer. Even though he's a mate too. Not sure Subaru stock calipers either but more than welcome to see for yourself. :)
  11. Spot on not as prone to sticking as they're coated in ptfe type stuff. Well RCM said they couldn't believe how good they are :)
  12. OK no worries. It was the option I went with. And they still like new a year on :)
  13. No mate all in about 225. With postage as you will have to pay to get them delivered. Once you removed old ones post them back to him and he'll give you back 50 quid. Once he gets the old calipers back. :)
  14. That's what he's just replied with mate.
  15. they are £160 for the 4pot front pr exchange + 48hr postage + surcharge of £50 that's returned on receipt of your old units to your paypal account.
  16. Just messaged him now he's on the forum. I'll try get his number think I've lost it when I changed phones. [emoji17]
  17. OK I'll ask him now mate. For full price think you'll be looking at that for each. He also uses better pistons and you can choose what colour you want.
  18. I had cusco scooby wagon do me a set of full refurbished calipers. Can't remember full price. Something like £225 and you get £45 back on the return of my old callipers. Something like that anyway lol. I can get exact price if you want mate.
  19. Been a better summer job but hope it goes smoothly all the same. [emoji106] what time scale you hoping for. I wouldn't worry about the extra picture we do like our picture's [emoji106] [emoji6]
  20. If on a pc mate you will need to use something like photo bucket using their direct link by copying it. Then on here the tree thing above the reply box paste the link there the forum does the rest. If on the phone. I'm not sure myself lol since the update to tapatalk. [emoji15]
  21. Result it being the gearbox in some respects. I'd contact gears in Liverpool see what they would charge for the rebuild they might even have one to part ex in for your old one they're good like that. [emoji3] Only ever used exeedy clutches so would recommend them happily. [emoji106]
  22. Yeah pretty sure I'd be happy sat there waiting. And unlike the Isle of Man mountain no rain [emoji106] [emoji1]
  23. Mine would drive and freewheel until the snapped off parts kept jamming itself in. Luckily I was about half a mile from home [emoji15] so made it back. I did think it was the big ends when it first went though lol. Which would have disappointed me [emoji16]
  24. Did think that but we will see what the mechanic finds :) I could start and move mine when it went so be interesting to see what it is.
