  1. Me and a friend took our missus for a bit of swinging on the cambridge rivers. Hired a boat just went around the rivers stopping at the pubs along the rivers was pretty good fun really. Nice to get away from the roads a lot more relaxed.
  2. Didn't they have issues with the harrier though doing vertical take off's burning the deck of the ships
  3. Static for the win. I live near the sea and get stuck behind 100s of !Removed! caravans. So big no for me on that front. Abroad I always enjoy but not always possible for me to do that as much now. [emoji35] well not this year. But I'm still toying with driving the scoob to the south of Spain to visit Martin. [emoji106]
  4. I wonder with the size of the ship that it could be done but surely cost would be huge. I mean I'm no aerospace construction developer or anything. Hell I'm happy when an oil change on my car goes well. But yhe weight of possibly landing gear and the extra support for the hook to attach what ever plane's they might need would almost have to be rebuilt.
  5. It's a great way to get to know local owners and meet new people. And pick up tips and tricks ;) Hope you enjoy it mate and the weather stays good :)
  6. the EuroFighter was also considered for being modded for use. It was the same for the F18's they was modified to work originally with Aircraft carriers.
  7. Glad to hear it ;) And I'm sure the 1st engine wasn't your fault just unfortunate I know Weeksy on here spent ages make sure he knew how to look after one properly bought it before he'd even got home Head Gasket had gone. Now doesn't take a genius to work out that it was sold with this fault poor bloke but he's now got her back on the road happily at more expense but I look at it as a learning curve :D
  8. Oh good stuff glad it got there I did try clean it up a bit for you too but think it needed to be pretty abrasive to get the years of crud off :( And oops I did make that sound wrong I meant using 02 simulator now I've not used one so can't vouch that they work or not. I have heard that they can't be tricked but mixed comments as ever on the net. I took the bulb out mine until I had it mapped. But if you have got a blowing exhaust that could be giving you the codes but the 02 sensors are common fault also. I'd say best bet if keeping her standard would be to replace it that way get peace of mind :) And thanks for joining I know some forums come across a bit scary sometimes but everyone on heres great. So don't worry about jumping in on other threads :)
  9. This is a bit of a tune :) https://youtu.be/RgKAFK5djSk
  10. I think with the claycloth you can make a good job quick with it but if you want to spend more time with it you can to get the perfect look. I find it very hard to fault. and perfect for my big old clumsy hands :D
  11. P0031 common fault that new sensor usually does the trick sometimes you can trick it with a resistor I mean 02 Simulator to make the ECU think it's working what people do when they first decat the car before remap. ;) But could be the connection bit rusted up. I'd also say good chance that is what has brought on the 2nd code on Exhaust gas temperature is low again can be sorted with a resistor. But I'd say both codes was linked :D And glad to see you made it on mate :) Welcome to S.O.C let me know if the center pipe turns up should be there today ;)
  12. Well I've nicknamed my missus the rev limiter soon starts to go off if I go over 3k revs when she's in the car. But yeah my car does sort of stand out from the crowd a bit. I think Hatchback is the best for being a little bit more easier to blend in with the Impreza's range so little envious their :) But depends what mood I'm in sometimes I just blitz them when I'm in a bad mood other times I sit there looking in the rearview mirror shouting profanities towards them whilst I slow down wait until they go to over take and gear down and just generally annoy them until they get the hint, or similar pull away the let them catch back up and rinse and repeat :D But I always keep in mind these cars do stand out and because I live with in villages I have to travel through I refuse to drive like a complete bellend have 2 in the garage so people soon know where to come if they wanted too. or key scratch my car if I'm in a shop, so if I'm close to home I very really give it loads unless the roads are empty then it's game on :D but it's like my neighbour has a civic type r in red and so does another fool in one of the villages I had a gentleman knock on my door complaining about the driving of said car now which one it was I'm unsure. But it did make me more aware of my driving. :)
  13. That's very true I actually can't think of any planes we have now that use aircraft carriers. probably building it to sell to the americans cheaper than we built it :(
  14. Hello mate welcome back into the fold :) I bet it feels good to be back. I know how hard it was when mine was having an engine rebuild longest 7 weeks of my life lol :D can't imagine 2 years :(
  15. PMSL I call it the Human Frogger :) especially trying to cross the center aisles And matt looks like you have competition on rants now
  16. posted on UKlegacy for you mate :)
  17. Right I've just emailed Steve about getting this booked in tomorrow at 1pm just waiting on a reply but a bit of a warning if you still haven't paid up. Now because of BT messing me about I see someone on UKlegacy is wanting to pop along too so might be more yet if can get paid up in time :D
  18. I do like the look of the BRZ just wish Toyota would let them sell more of them over the GT86 :(
  19. No problem :D
  20. I'm still unsure about the plasti dip I know matts done it but for long term I'm interested to see what the result is.
  21. Well might look at getting it started this weekend if we have enough interest will run into summer though :( find less people will make it on then.
  22. Nope not had minis do it yet I'm sure one will few beemers but surprisingly not many. Honda Civic Type-R or Chav Type-R's as I now call them loads of !Removed! with them around here :D
  23. Pretty awesome how they build them though. And agree does look like an easy target for Subs
  24. Hello mate welcome over to s.o.c yeah we're like UK legacy I'd say we're like a cousin forum with them. [emoji106] so should fit right in here too. [emoji3]
