  1. Turbo xv I certainly would. [emoji4] but as I said before I it looks like an sti with a boot. So I don't think it's too bad.
  2. I have to agree with the loyalty comment [emoji106] I've not used clinc but heard enough to not want to use them. I always say good reviews don't get spread about nearly half enough as they should. But when I see lot's of negative feedback I generally stay clear. Brocky uses clinc it was Roger Clarks mapper in the end who said the ecu would learn slightly to adjust for it. I'm no mapper but seen enough to have had my own idea it wouldn't have effected anything. But they was determined it needed the fine tune doing for £300. And I've seen sooo many thing's from other's all saying about similar thing's. Taking cars in for one job and being bombarded with extras that they didn't want or need. Probably have ash and nick on shortly with their reviews too [emoji1]
  3. From what I've heard and Brocky will probably agree with me they're very good at lets say adding extras to every job. Like brocky was wanting to change from the Nurspec I now have on to a track friendly milltek. They said he would need a £300 remap, yeah of course he would <_< I think Scoobyclinic know there stuff but no how to blag the customer. for me Martin at Sheffield Subaru Service I trust and if and when I'm ready to get a map done again either Duncan or Area52. nobody else at this moment time I'd trust. other than myself of course ;)
  4. Not sure on price would guess silly money http://www.importcarparts.co.uk/gallery-info?id=2
  5. I agree :D I have the bumper just need to get the lights :D
  6. You coming to Cadwell mate ? just going to book it but want to make sure you're still coming :D
  7. The thing I find hard here is he said he's known the other guy for 20 years. I'm pretty sure and would hugely be Pi$$ed off if I knew someone for 20+years for them to stab me in the back like this on forums. So for the guy to get that F@cked off.... IF! he did know him for that length of time, the Rotheram guy must have slept with his wife or something. Lets face it we stick with mates. So to be fair I call Bullshit to some of it if not all of it. I don't know full details so happy to sit on the fence but reading both sides, unfortunately even with his bible story of events It doesn't seem to add up. IMHO
  8. Yep rockers well known to leak not a huge problem but nice to have sorted. Think mine might have even start again but 1st time since the rebuild so not to bad :) sounds like it was a good buy to me :)
  9. I wouldn't think so as he breaks cars to sell the parts on. Be best off selling the parts your old parts on after.
  10. No worries just found them but don't blame you can't go wrong with a splitter :)
  11. Try this it's off my Google drive it's for 97 to 98 might show as a saloon I can't remember but same principle :D https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8TFZlCx15kTVTNRVVhZeE1mQW8/view?usp=sharing you will need Winrar to unpack it too.
  12. yeah pretty rare now to get but found these 2 on fleebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Morrete-head-lights-/131484233665?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e9d122fc1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-Morette-Headlamps-Bug-Eye-/251888598292?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3aa5bafd14
  13. the workshop manuals come in PDF format so would need printing off or take the laptop in the garage :D
  14. figured it I just had to sign in lol :D More worrying is I have 6 friends in common :o
  15. what year do you have I might have a workshop guide kicking about. most things Subaru related Youtube has a video for but not always. The suspension on these do tend to dry up and make a knocking noise or creek mine does the same so might be nothing. These car do tend to be a bit more noisy than most :)
  16. I think it throws the same code it's the bank from my understand if it's 1 or 2 depends which one it is but don't hold me to that :)
  17. Hope it helps find the right one then :) And look forward to seeing the picture when you finally take ownership ;)
  18. Oh I thought you was asking about anything to improve the car :D well have a guide here for when buying a car but might be helpful http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/ top rear struts seem to be the biggest weak point on them. so I'd give them a check over know to rust pretty bad.
  19. Ohhh you're such a tease
  20. Yep looks much better imo a job well done mate :) Heres my headlights.
  21. Hello mate welcome to S.O.C As you said best places to start is to strip any weight from the car you don't need brakes and suspension are all best places to start :) as for which ones to use I'm not too sure what the non turbo guys have as a choice.
  22. It matter's not one bit here if it's a Turbo, non turbo, STI, WRX as long as it has the badge is all that matters ;) The non turbos can be great cars lose weight better suspension and brakes with the AWD can be quick cars. As for the insurance I think it's ringing around and finding what suits you and pocket. Compare sites work for a few, for me can't stand them and not interested in any little cuddly toy or plastic robot. Unfortunately with specialist insurance it is a case of ring them all like playing tennis and play them off each other. Just like it was when I first started to drive but only real way to get best quotes is try them all. But for many people specialist usually give the best deals on these types of cars.
