  3. The 2014 Subaru BRZ GT300 started in the pole position and finished in second place for their first podium of the season. The 2014 Subaru BRZ GT300 race car was super fast this weekend and the Subaru team qualified in first place for the first time this season. They started the race in the pole position at Autopolis of Hita, Oita Prefecture in Japan for the race on Sunday. The team finished on the podium, but it was a disappointing second place. The team felt they should have won the race. It was a great day for racing the BRZ GT300 as they weather was perfect and the crowd of 24,400 were buzzing with excitement before the race started. Driver Kota Sasaki started the race in the pole position and pushed hard from the starting flag. He expanded his lead gradually against the GT3 field. BRZ GT300 leads the field The 2014 Subaru BRZ GT300 went on to lead the entire field until the car used up the tires and came in on lap 29 for a tire change. They also switched drivers and Iguchi took over at the wheel. But as the BRZ was heading out of the pits, the Honda CR-Z #55 car kept the Subaru car from gaining full speed and it cost the team as they re-entered the race. The #55 CR-Z was able to capture the lead. In the second half of the race, there was an accident and the caution flag came out and the safety car came out. After the race resumed, the Honda CR-Z #55 kept the lead and the BRZ GT300 was not able to overtake the car and the Subaru finished in second place. It’s the first podium finish for the team, but they were disappointed they didn’t come home with a first place finish. After the race, Sasaki said, “It is frustrating indeed, but the car was perfect, and the performance and speed of the BRZ was fantastic until we used up the tires. It was shame we did not win, but we feel positive going into the next race. We were able to show all our fans the speed of the new Subaru BRZ and the changes we made paid off.” BRZ GT300 finished 25 seconds behind the leader The ARTA CR-Z GT #55 was the winner of the race with a time of 2:00 20.424. The 2014 Subaru BRZ GT300 finished just 25 seconds behind the Honda for the second place finish. Tatsumi Eiji STI general manager said, “I’m sorry we couldn’t bring home a victory, but we know the orientation of the car is where we want it. We can’t wait for another chance at SUGO which is next.” The 2014 Subaru BRZ GT300 started in the pole position and finished in second place for their first podium of the season at Autopolis of Hita, Oita Prefecture in Japan this weekend. Even though the team didn’t win the race, they finished for the first time on the podium this season. The BRZ GT300 is fast and it should be a great race in Sports Land SUGO next month.
  4. Still time left to get on the fun bus ;)
  5. I did that with chess. It's safe to say it's one game I've never been able to play :D
  6. The UK has a "two-week period" to protect itself from a major computer virus that could give hackers access to sensitive information, it emerged tonight. The National Crime Agency said internet users should "protect themselves against powerful malicious software" by checking that their anti-virus software is up-to-date. They should also run scans to ensure that all applications are running correctly. The virus has the potential to cost the country millions of pounds and could lead to people's financial details and photographs being stolen. The move comes after the FBI in the US was successful in disrupting a hacking network, making security updates by users particularly effective in the short term. The viruses in question are known as GOZeuS and CryptoLocker, with the first hiding within attachments in emails that when open give computer access to hackers, who use the software to scan devices for valuable information. CryptoLocker is a secondary threat that activates if no valuable data is found, and this malware locks the computer, demanding a ransom to grant access again. Lamar Bailey, director of security research and development at software company Tripwire, said: "The design of these malware packages make it nearly impossible to completely wipe out, but a coordinated attack can cause damage. "While these organisations are attacking the command and control severs, countries are rolling out a massive consumer education programme to help clean up infected systems and reduce the number of vulnerable systems available for infection. "The plan is to attack the parasite hard for two weeks while removing as many viable hosts as possible at the same time so that propagation targets will be limited after the attacks subside. "This will not eliminate the malware but could in theory make it much harder for the operators to use and could cause massive financial loss for them." UK-based internet awareness group Get Safe Online also posted on its own website, asking users to pay attention to the advice and take advantage of this event to improve their security. The group has posted advice on monitoring potentially malicious email, as well as links to free anti-virus software. "This warning is not intended to cause you panic but we cannot over-stress the importance of taking these steps immediately," said Get Safe Online in a statement. "This is because the UK's National Crime Agency has taken temporary control of the communications used to connect with infected computers, but expects only a very limited window of opportunity to ensure you are protected." The web has been the victim of several serious security breaches in recent months, with the effects of the Heartbleed bug still being felt. The bug took advantage of a flaw in the OpenSSL software that is designed to encrypt and protect data as it is exchanged online. Several websites, including parental advice site Mumsnet, were hacked as a result of the flaw. Andy Archibald, Deputy Director of the NCA's National Cyber Crime Unit, said: "Nobody wants their personal financial details, business information or photographs of loved ones to be stolen or held to ransom by criminals. By making use of this two-week window, huge numbers of people in the UK can stop that from happening to them. "Whether you find online security complicated or confusing, or simply haven't thought about keeping your personal or office computers safe for a while, now is the time to take action. "Our message is simple: update your operating system and make this a regular occurrence, update your security software and use it and, think twice before clicking on links or attachments in unsolicited emails." "Those committing cyber crime impacting the UK are often highly-skilled and operating from abroad. To respond to this threat, the NCA is working closely with law enforcement colleagues all over the world, and developing important relationships with the private sector." Sensitive information ??? Depends how you look at midget !Removed! I guess I will send them it for free no need to try steal it ;)
  7. I'm not normally a big fan of the hole Need For Speed thing but I did really enjoy Horizon so will be firmly on my list of must buys :D I'd been reading all the hype for months that is it isn't it on the forums so I sort of was expecting it sooner than later :D If they add rallying in again would like the handling looking at and replays added for it though like Forza 5 style replays :D

  11. Salsa just making me jealous now mate :( Well I'm going to reside in the fact it is not going to happen for me so pictures will be fine hint hint. Show me what I missed :(
  12. Glad to hear you got that sorted out :)
  13. Strange I would get the codes read just to see if anything is stored I'm wondering if when it's got to full temperature it's making the rubbers sag and one has a split, or coil packs had a wobbler to cause it to judder. Only things I can think of for that with the ECU light and cruise control light. Not sure about the ABS maybe a panic thing the ecu did. But I would start with the codes then pipes 1st as it's the easier thing to check for splits loose clips that sort of thing, then onto the plugs and coil packs.
  14. Strange I looked last night and see blue with red STI drop down Unless sold out temporarily.
  15. Does look like a beast
  16. Bugeye I replaced the hub on it a while back then had the bearing done on it again. The hubs knackered I didn't bother getting the tracking done as I knew it was going to need a new hub and bearing, but have been waiting on a cheque that just feels like forever and has taken longer a lot longer than I thought it would, to pay for the repairs. So need 4 new tyres again :( the hub and bearing piston has stuck on the brake calipers so they need doing followed by disc brakes and pads all round and tax at the end of this month and I think the Cv's started to go or has gone I've not jacked it up yet to look. So with that needing doing I don't want to take it far hence why I've not been able to get to some of the small events :( But know I can make japfest 2 with it being in August. but see how well this week goes never know luck might be with me for a change :)
  17. :( been on tonight was all right kitted up well one of the guys crashed the chopper :( killed us
  18. Could they still not get in the car then ?

  22. Crash: Wallace Menzies has been discharged from hospital This is the dramatic moment a racing driver flipped his car at 120mph and somersaulted through the air before landing in a ditch. Wallace Menzies, 42, remarkably escaped from the wreckage with just bruises and a broken cheekbone. Menzies was competing in the Shelsey Walsh hillclimb race in Worcestershire when he lost control and careered off the track on Sunday. Spectators could only watch in horror as the driver's DJ Firestorm car was sent flying through the air and flipped twice before crashing into a steep hillside. SWNS Smash: Wallace Menzies flipped his car at 120mph Paramedics and marshals rushed to the scene and freed him from the wreckage before taking him to hospital. The Scottish driver, was discharged from hospital just hours later with minor injuries - and is now said to be preparing for his next race later this month. A statement released by the Midland Automobile Club said: "Following Wallace Menzies' accident yesterday we are pleased to report he was released from hospital in the early hours of this morning (Monday) with four stitches, a cracked cheek bone and bruising. SWNS Wreckage: The DJ Firestorm is taken away "He is in good spirits and saying it felt like a rough game of rugby and asked it he could have a refund! "Wallace wishes to thank all the marshals and medical services for their quick response and for the wishes and support from everyone else. "He hopes to be out at Doune and back at Shelsey later this year."
