  1. I was told never to try clean it, so I just bought a 2nd hand one and cleaned the 1st one anyway and it was fine with Carb cleaner ;) But still did the same thing so think it had fried before And it does sound like it will be a nice car like you said rare. And I don't know many people who can say it was a pro drive execs and the subaru rally team car :D
  2. I would have a look on ebay mate anyone breaking a subaru I know there's a few Subaru specialist breakers that sell stuff on ebay as they use another forum I'm on. just email them asking for what you need or ring them. Here's one of them but there is plenty more Scoobybits Ltd, Chacewater, Truro, Cornwall TR4 8NZ Tel: 01872 561687 email: info@scoobybits.co.uk www.scoobybits.co.uk.
  3. Ohhhh I like it alot and I'm sure I read some where Subaru are returning to the WRC in 2014 be nice seeing that as a return. And then for the British to start to demand it sold here again :D
  4. The alloy's set the car off just right like it
  5. It look's like they have just fitted kid's car seat's with a nice cover on the Impreza :D But nice find mate I do like the look's
  6. Hi Welcome to the club We are just getting the forum's set up for that sort of thing as we speak :D And a very nice clean looking car if I do say so myself.
  7. There not cheap I know. I have a Blobeye and a Bugeye in the garage and would like fog cover's for both. Just got roof scoop's for them both, but had a nightmare with the spraying for the Bugeye. Got it on the blobeye fine. And again I know there not for everyone but I like it with them on. Will upload some pictures when I get chance. Woop's went off subject there :D I just keep checking ebay for fog's I don't mind spraying them myself but would like some that have already been sprayed the same colour :D And think WRX in white will still look smart.
  8. I've never had a Legacy so can only go by what I see and know about from the Impreza. And I've been telling people for week's that have been selling there Impreza's not to do it :D And now I seem to be right ;)(Feel's Smug) I had an idle problem with another car no engine light at all, turned out it was the MAFS :( To be fair I even bit the bullet with that car paid someone to check it with smoke and diagnostic came back fine could not find a thing, really made me mad that :D So I found myself like you reading up and changed it and it worked. But that was when the clutch was down and slowing to say aroundabout, so dout it will be that. I would have thought a coilpack or plug would have given a misfire that you might pick up on, so worth a look maybe. And I would not know how to check the Injector but have you changed the fuel filter just on the off chance ? And maybe try some good strong injector cleaner. Don't think it would do any harm. And thank's for keeping us all updated appreciated :D
  9. I agree with Jay get it on a diagnostics see what code's she pull's off the ECU. But I would say it will be somthing maybe to do with the heat making, like Jay said a sensor some where play up. Or the rubber hose might be getting soft and making it sag or opening a split up, again sending more air in. Or worse maybe intake gasket has broke :( But I would start with getting some code's now after you have checked already with sprays. And I'm sure if you fitted the clutch yourself will be fine I would say you will need to take it off again :( if it had the wrong one in from the start might have made more problem's then 1st thought I can't see why it would but you never know, but I would take a look at the flywheel see if it's shot :( or did you change that as well ? Only other thing I could think of would be the gearbox it's self has gone. I know there not the best in the world :( Sorry I could not be of anymore help then that Keep us updated with any finding though. I'm interested :D
  10. Following the horsemeat scandal, Audi have reassured customers their products still contain 100% c@nt.
  11. Hi I would like to 1st welcome you to the club.. So Welcome :) And it sound's like you have bought a hand full of a car, these type intrest me as mine are UK car's. I'm boring you see :) Can I ask who fitted the clutch ? I can't see it sticking to the flywheel unless it was abused massively strate after being fitted and even then I would say it was fitted wrong :( And you say it rev's up and down is that just sat idling. If so my 1st guess would be a split intake pipe I could be wrong, like yourself I just play around with these for fun. And to get me out the way when the soap's are on :) so would start with your rubber air hoses all round. bit of soap water you should notice if it start's to suck it in over the hose/pipe use a spray bottle over them. And is there any knocking from the engine at all ?
  12. Not a problem. Please feel free to add some picture's of your monster
  13. Blue!.... Unless your going to carbon effect few part's of the car. You have gone for the clean look, I would keep it that way myself. And I told you there is alway's some mod's to add :D Will start on the inside next ;)
  14. Was that with Prodrive package Jay ? That look's really nice in white, I still think I would go WRC blue as it's my fav :D but she does look good. Not 100% sure but I thought the prodrive spoiler's looked different to the STI spoiler. Unless I'm thinking of the UK300 prodrive spoiler's And I guess it's a private plate :D
  15. Would like to. But with work I doubt I would be able to make it look's good, I've been to my local track massive fun, and would like to go round Silverstone.
  16. I'v just fitted some Pro sport gauge's in mine :D Evo serie's. other then maybe a set of fog cover's I would put on I can't think of anything else, but I'm sure in time would find of, or think about doing something before long ;)
  17. I think it sound's nice, might be due for a full belt's change so would check that. And with prodrive package and Subaru not selling anymore Impreza's in the UK. Would say the price of the car's, good one's will only go up. And I have never seen one in white either. Any picture's or a link to take a look :D
  18. Very nice mate. So any mod's or change's planned ?
  19. I know this might sound silly. With the Engine off 1st wiggle the wires to the sensor/Airflow meter or unplug and plug them in again. And loosen your petrol cap and then tighten it up again tight then check to see if it still does's it. If your still having the problem after that I would get someone who can run a diagnostics to pull the code's off the ECU, then clear them and see if they come back.
  20. Happy to hear you sorted the noise problem out. Sorry to hear about the light finger's crossed for you it's a £20 sensor or something non major :( Keep us updated if we can help :)
  21. :D No problem. And look forward to seeing some picture's.
  22. Nice look's like a good buy to me. And even with that amount of miles it could still go another 100K mile's Not sure what the clearance is on one sorry. Maybe a Forester owner on here will let you know :D
  23. Welcome aboard Feel free the share some picture's of your baby... I mean your car :)
  24. No problem mate It still wouldn't bother me aslong as it's been stored well. Sat under a tree or on the side of a road I would change it :) But as I said before if you have any dout's best to change it, for own peace of mind.
  25. 3 years in dry storage wouldn't be a concern to me with 3000 miles. I would be more worried about getting the oil changed and break's/pads checked. But if your worried about it you would not do any harm either
