Hi mate to add oil to the gear box just take the dipstick out and fill from the dipstick tube Does sound like a dead gearbox to me synchromesh could be worn. which could mean a lot of money I believe it is cheaper to buy a refurb Gear box then have it fixed but don't hold me to that. But you might be lucky with just adding some oil in the gearbox. So try that 1st I would But on the Brightside..... Welcome to the forums! :D -
I thought you said you loved to drive it ? :)

I do love the new GTR. My younger brother had the old style it was quick. Until he raced it without letting her warm up 1st. Pulled in to a petrol station started to fill up, see smoke coming from the engine like a fool next to the pumps opens the bonnet up... WoooSH! air sucks in and big fire ball. And yes I did PMSL when he was telling me ;) Oh and just like the God's of the roads was looking down on me the suns out :) but can only give her a quick wash today :(

Hey Daz Welcome to the forums. And your more then welcome to pop on and chat. But some advice even if your as you say, crap. If you meet up with Simon Poole, if he invites you to go for a drive in his car don't... He will make you paint your finger nail's with RB320 on them. And I'm not sure if it will include toenails or not :D

I live in the Countryside So do a lot of driving on side roads A roads and around town 90% for me are Audi drivers, not so much BMW drivers. But a guy I know who drives a scoob and is a lorry driver said BMW drivers for him also. But he lives in town. And with the Pitt bull thing I do see a lot of young drunken drugged up men walking them around :D And maybe it's me. But when did wearing shoe's become fashion to wear with tracksuit bottoms

Oh relief :) least you should be sorted soon. And thank you for letting us know, least if anyone else has that problem I can pass it on as a possibility. feel free to upload some pictures. I like pictures

Oh... I see why you spend time with your car now. Still a good choice :D

Hi mate welcome to the forums Does the car run ok i.e rev problems/stall's Have you checked the oil levels of the car ? 1st thing I would check When did it last have an oil change ? I would also check the belts and pulley wheels see if any of them are slack or wobble when cold
-
If she asks you had to wait for the fish.... To be caught :D

Looks very nice. I'm sure if you add the basics like that your scoob will look fine. And for me window tints a must. You never know when you might be in the back seat with the girl from the local chip shop :) Or to hide the mess my kids make along with other thing's of value I leave in the car out of view :)

I must admit I've had a look at a few schools on the web :D

It sort of went rubbish when Mitsubishi and Subaru pulled out for me. I watch the highlights on youtube still. Enjoy the Rally America more now myself.

Hi welcome to the Club Please feel free to share some picture's, and if you have any plans for the car :)
-
Oh right I thought with the nail art picture the other day she was bagging her self a drive in it :D Oh and between me and you I don't blame you ;) And tough call really I like the 2012 cars if you get the large spoiler on it anyway, but a RB320 pfft.... All I can say is I'm glad it's not me with that choice, I think it would get the better of me and I would. Maybe a few test drives 1st just to make sure

Ouch touch wood not killed a turbo yet :)

Myself I only use a named brand fully synthetic 10W50. I choose to use this. But since been told its the best one to have, by a guy who repair's and rebuilds Subaru engines. And another who works with Oil's. Some other's might tell you what they use, or you can go to an Auto shop give them your reg they will be able to let you know what there computer tells them. But would always use a brand name and not Carlube like someone else I know, he's not had problems but would not trust it myself. I also use Blueprint filters :) but you can choose what you like I guess

There is no full member as such as in paying yet this may change to help with discount with these days and to help limit places available as like most things will be limited 1st come basis, and the running of the forum. But any of that is to do with Steve I have nothing to do with that side of it. So not really my place to say anything to much about that ;) I have heard that Japfest is not as good as Trax and not organised as well. Hence the 2 hours just to get in :) But would still be happy to go. Trax is Silverstone http://www.traxshows.co.uk/

Looking very nice take it you took my advise and didn't let your Mrs drive it then, I can see there is no dings on it :) . Wish we had been getting some Sun, done nothing but rain here. And to top it off stuck behind a lorry with hay bales down the A16 for about half mile before I could get past :( front end look's like Worzel Gummidge's sleeve :( Going to have to clean it soon I hate seeing them with dirt on :)

Found This, might be of some use ;) What to do if your car suffers damage from a pothole Two thirds of UK motorists encounter between one and five potholes every day, we've got a step-by-step guide on what to do if your car is damaged by a pothole. 1. Take photographs of the pothole The most important thing to do is get evidence. As well as taking photos of the pothole itself, make sure you take photos of the surrounding area – for example, capture if it’s on a blind bend or over the brow of a hill as this will be helpful for your claim. 2. Measure the pothole and its location You MUST be able to identify the exact pothole you hit, take down the road name and where it is on the road. Most importantly where was the pothole positioned on the road? For example, was it in the middle of the road or in the regular wheel tracks? If you can’t prove which pothole it was that you hit, this can weaken your claim. Make sure you measure the pothole; if you don’t have a tape measure to had use a ruler, book or even your shoe as a guide to show the size of the pothole. 3. Get details Make a simple sketch of the area showing where the pothole is, including the surrounding features. These features might include the speed limit, a nearby school, kerb edging etc. Also, note if it is a busy road and how wide it is. If you have a witness to the incident make sure to take down their details too! 4. Before you make your claim Before making your claim, ask for the following documents from the Council: -Dates of all safety inspections undertaken on the carriageway in the two years preceding the date of your incident. -Details of all carriageway defects identified during safety inspections in the two years preceding your incident. -Details of how carriageway safety inspections are undertaken, including whether walked or driven, the speed of the inspection vehicle and the number of persons in the vehicle. -The intended frequency of carriageway safety inspections. -Details of all complaints and/or enquiries relating to the carriageway, received in the two years preceding your incident. -The hierarchy classification of repairing the roads. -The road/section number. -The defect intervention criteria adopted in relation to the identification of all categories of carriageway potholes (in other words, how they define a pothole as requiring attention. -The time period(s) adopted between identification and repair (temporary and permanent) of all categories of carriageway defects. -Whether or not the authority has formally adopted all or part of the standards contained within the national code of practice for highways maintenance management. -Ask them to reply within 20 working days in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act and if they don’t then send a copy of your first request and ask them to reply within 10 working days of the second letter. -If they don’t reply to either, don’t panic, but go onto the next step. It isn’t the end of the world and the lack of reply just makes the council look bad. 5. Report the pothole Report the pothole to the council as soon as possible. This will give a record that someone has reported it. Also if it does go to Court then they will want to know why you didn’t report it as soon as you could, in order to help others as well as yourself. 6. Make your claim When writing a letter or email to your council to report the pothole make sure you include the following information - a full description of the accident, where it was and at what time, your photographs and the sketch plan of the area. Make sure to include a copy of the repair bill/receipt for the damage caused. 7. Your claim may get rejected It is likely that the council will defend the claim under section 58 of the Highways Act by stating that they have a reasonable system of repair. Don’t panic! As this is their first automatic step to try and refuse to pay you and there is more that you can do to get your claim resolved. 8. Do some background reading Before you go back to the council to discuss the claim further take a look at their guidance website to see the procedures for repairing roads and dealing with claims for damage. Also check what the council is liable for, and whether their documents (that you have been supplied with) says they have carried this out. 9. Be willing to negotiate If the council makes you an offer, seriously consider it, as the next step will be Court proceedings. If they haven’t made an offer and you have got this far, they either think that they have a good case, or just have a block policy of refusing claims until they get to Court. It is extremely likely that your claim is below the Small Claims Limit (presently £5000). That means that if you use a solicitor to progress your case, you won’t be able to get the costs back and you will pay them win lose or draw. If you believe you still have a case, then you can issue the proceedings online at https://www.moneycla...eb/mcol/welcome. This is the County Court system but through the internet. 10. Stay patient and keep copies! Remember to always act reasonably and fairly. When speaking to the council remain calm and professional. Lastly make sure you keep copies of all the letters you send and receive – if you go to Court you will have to provide a copy of this correspondence for the Court to consider.
