Newbie wants advice.
Hi welcome to the forum, I cant offer any advice about the sensor. But i'd suggest going to Sheffield Subaru Service for any mechanical work that is required. I've heard that Scoobyclinic is a tad expensive and apparently you have to sign a disclosure that states any jobs they find on your car (whilst they have it) they will fix them and charge you for them. Also, we've got a small meet on Saturday in the N/E that you are welcome to come to. :) - http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/12370-the-first-ne-regional-meet/

Lifting a Forester
I'm not entirely sure mate, im guessing one of the fozzie guys may be able to help. But as you are in Sheffield I'd give Sheffield Subaru Services a call. Martin n Dave are top blokes n would probably be able to point you in the right direction :)

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
So slightly off topic, but I was sat inside my legacy cleaning the dash n what not. Then this little baby blue micra parks up next to me, So I glanced to the right and had a nosey. There was a tasty blonde sat in the drivers seat. She looked in her early twenties with curled blonde hair. She got out of the car and ran to a neighbours house and back again, then drove off. **** she was hot. A woman that looked like her gran was in the passengers seat, think she caught me checking her grand daughter out lol.... :D

Police seizing cars with undeclared mods
I presume the kid with the Corsa was driving like a **** and drew attention to himself in the first place.

Taking the plunge. Legacy
I wouldn't go for a car with 160k. I got my legacy at 87k. I'm on 101k now. I'd guess at 160k you'd almost certainly need a new Clutch and Dual mass flywheel. - (if its not been done already) A clutch and DMF would cost about £500-800 in the UK. I expect that it may be due a replacement exhaust (again it may have had one), as the Y pipes tend to corrode and rot on legacies, again this would cost about £400-600 in the UK. I'd also think about how often its been serviced and by whom. Also remember to check under the arches for rust, there's a lip on the upper inside of the arch that is prone to collecting !Removed! and rusting. I think you should at least look at the GT if you can find a nice example. Or if you can find a 3ltr legacy or outback.

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
I tend to get 33-36mpg, can get around 40 on longer journeys. :) I looked at getting it mapped, but for the high price I didn't really see the point.
