Sniffed a lot of solder fumes over the years, I think that part of my brain is missing.

Managed to fix the broken overhead clock today with a bit of soldering.

I clayed the bonnet and got very little off it. I'd say it had been done already. Only polish I had though was some paint sure stuff which I'm not a fan of. Once the bits are done I might get some correction done although it isn't anywhere near as bad as new cars. Will get some of that wax though. Thanks.

Gave it a bit of a clean today. You never really know a car until you've cleaned it. One bit of paint I'll have redone on the grill and there is a crease in the passenger side wing that I don't think was there before I went to lunch. Anyway I'll have that done too. Couple of bits I'd like to do under the bonnet too to get it 100%. Silver cars are a bit of a pain, look dirty quick and you can never really get that wet look going.

100 miles so far :) Made my Mrs squeal when I hit the loud pedal and my daughter seemed to be enjoying it too. She loves the fact the rear seats recline. The mate who bought my other car used to have a legacy turbo and was getting all reminiscent :)

What fuel do you put in?
V power for me. My dad is the same in his Audi.

I've been looking at double din touch screen units. I'd love to get Nav built in. Just need to find the right one at the right price.

It's just general cabin noise, the wind noise is no worse than my previous car. The stereo is rubbish though :)

Got it got it got it. First thing I did was fill the thing up with fuel. Its a little noisier on the motorway that I expected given how quiet it is otherwise. Feels quick and I'm interested to know what the POWER button does.

Hi Guy's
Insurance, they wanted to write it off, but I managed to get them to pay me £900 and kept the car. Paid for a few bits to be done on it.

Hi Guy's
Just been through a similar thing myself. Someone skidded into the back of me, absolutely killed their car, I needed a tailgate (£45 off of ebay).
-
Hi Guy's
I hate that you have to go through that, hopefully it will turn out well.

Thanks for the welcome. Jay my dad was looking at buying an Impreza before he got this S3 (his second) but he was concerned about service intervals and being an ex Audi employee it made sense financially to go down that route. He used to buy all the Jap mags like Banzai etc. :)

Yeah I think he's got a Miltek exhaust, some intake work, intercooler, clutch and remap. At very least he has a fuel pump to go on and another mapping. It's pretty quick, the newer ones are over 300 from the factory he said the other day. Its not a flat four though of which we have some experience but not Subaru :)

I think his is about 320bhp at the moment with a couple more mods to come. Mine is stock JDM STi so maybe 230bhp at most on VMAX. For this year anyway

Needed to get a lift over there and my dad was playing golf. We are going over in the morning, and I'm sure my old man is going to take great delight in showing me how much faster his S3 is than the Forester :)

Hi Guy's
I thought I saw you posting on another forum how proud you were of the 'chav look' :) Personally a low level wing and losing the sharks bits would be great. Then all you need to do is wash it :)

Single or Twin turbo legacy - is it possible - is it worth it?
964 turbo did 0-60 in 4.5 with a 174 top speed.

What made you...
I am a car nut. The Subaru is just another in a long line of itches that needed to be scratched.
