What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Tried to mop up the mess the leaking radiator has caused and tried to find a part number for a JDM Forester rad.

Radiator leak
Saw a tiny bit of coolant on the grill when cleaning the car the other day. Then yesterday saw a little under bonnet steam. Sure enough there is the smallest of leaks in the top of the rad (about an inch from the top hose inlet). I was miles away from home and chucked a can of radweld in. It hadn't stopped it yesterday but will have a look again today. With hindsight I probably could have got home with it the way it was and as I can get to the inside of the leak from the top hose hole some sort of gunk could be applied by hand. The radweld is in there now anyway, not much I can do about that other than flush it.

Forester SF5 load cover
Got to be mint in grey. Thanks

Forester speakers
6.5" is what I've seen all over the net. However. A lot of people had to make a spacer ring out of MDF to get the speakers to fit without interference inside the door (very common when fitting aftermarket stuff in my experience).

Got it, any idea where to get that foam from? I've not googled yet.

Intercooler foam covering?
And replace it with a new one? I think taking it off and using heat, scrapers and chemicals will do the trick. Then I'll look for the right kind of foam to replace it with.

Intercooler foam covering?
Check this out. Horrid rotting foam on the back of my intercooler. I've not seen this on other pictures. Seen it before? Standard part? Replaceable? Looks like crap so I need to do something about it.

Paint Code Location?
It is only to repair a poorly painted part. Will happily take pics of it though :)

Paint Code Location?
I need to get my grill repainted. 792 Arctic silver metallic apparently.

car been hit while parked
Understand the job of the claim adjuster. They are essentially reverse salesmen. Their job is to pay out the very least amount of money at all times. They have targets to meet and families to feed. Doc your heels in and play hardball. I managed in a recent case to get the money they offered plus kept the car. This sort of deal works well for them as they meet their target and don't have to do into real money to give you what you want.

running problem
Could be the safety mechanism on the engine coming in. I think I've seen it referred to fuel cut on the Subaru. Anyway of reducing boost to test?

My build/conversion project
Nice, I must be the only one who has never had an issue with valve collets. Various much simpler tasks have been messed up though :)

Hello all
Lovely looking car.

Sniffed a lot of solder fumes over the years, I think that part of my brain is missing.

Managed to fix the broken overhead clock today with a bit of soldering.

I clayed the bonnet and got very little off it. I'd say it had been done already. Only polish I had though was some paint sure stuff which I'm not a fan of. Once the bits are done I might get some correction done although it isn't anywhere near as bad as new cars. Will get some of that wax though. Thanks.

Gave it a bit of a clean today. You never really know a car until you've cleaned it. One bit of paint I'll have redone on the grill and there is a crease in the passenger side wing that I don't think was there before I went to lunch. Anyway I'll have that done too. Couple of bits I'd like to do under the bonnet too to get it 100%. Silver cars are a bit of a pain, look dirty quick and you can never really get that wet look going.
