  1. Sounds Iomega a lambda sensor to me. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
  2. Hi, Has anyone here tried the Terraclean system as featured on Wheeler Dealers and championed by Ed? http://www.terraclean.co.uk/ Looks impressive in the ads and when the emmisions before and after were compared on the XK8 but I have spoken to anyone who has tried it. Pity you don't get a dyno run of before and after.
  3. Haha. That's one resolution. It gets louder the fastest I go but not related to cornering. I am fitting a Prodrive back box tomorrow but not really to fix the road noise. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
  4. Fairly low. They are standard. I think 215/45r17. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
  5. Hmm. Maybe. The type of road surface really makes a difference though. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
  6. The tyres are Uniroyal Rains. I see they're are rated at 72db which is towards the top end of the noise scale. Unfortunately they are not very old. Put on just before I bought the car. I do still have the bonnet mat and undertray fitted. Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
  7. Hi guys, One thing that really stands out to me when I drive my Blobeye WRX is the amount of road noise. Much more than my 02 Vauxhall Astra . Has anyone had any success in quieting it down? I've fitted some foam soundproofing to the boot and rear wheel arches but it hasn't made any difference. Or is it just my car :o ?
  8. The Castrol website recommends Syntrax Long Life 75W-90 fully synth, which is what I use in the gearbox and diff.
  9. I think you were right Greenmamba. While I was fitting some sound proofer to the boot, I found an electrical box cable tied to the inside on the near-side rear wing. A couple of wire looked like they went off to the roof. I checked all the connections were in well. Now the radio works much better :) .
  10. Done. Thanks! Sent from my HTC Desire 510 using Tapatalk
  11. Hmm. I'm not sure If I could face putting a hole in the car either. I've found this on eBay. Might be worth a go :). http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/interior-Internal-radio-AM-FM-aerial-FOR-SUBARU-Impreza-02-/300652730659?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item46004c9923
  12. I noticed the FM reception in my new Scuby wasn't as good as my old Astra. Looking into it in a bit more detail I found out the aerial is just a bit of wire embedded in the rear window :o . Does anyone recommend any particular upgrade?
  13. Great answers. Thanks guys. I have an odb2 cable and laptop . The software I have only reads and clears fault codes. Can anyone recommend a free or cheap program to do the reset? Linx.
  14. I'd also be interested in a definitive answer to this. I'd like to reset the ECU on my Blob but Google searches are contradicting and confusing.
  15. Does anyone have a guide on changing the gearbox oil on a WRX Blob Eye? Cheers Linx
  16. Hi again. I finally got my Scooby at the weekend. My neighbor decided he wasn't selling. Mine's a 2003 2.0 WRX only done 68000 miles :).
  17. Thanks for the welcome and the tip. Good guide! Do you think it having 116k miles on the click is a concern? It does have full service history. That's one scary picture Stig's Digital Cousin :o.
  18. Hi all, I've not got a scooby yet but looking to get one this year. In fact my next door neighbor says he is thinking of selling his soon. So I've told him I'm interested. It's a completely standard 2004 Impreza 2.0 SL WRX Saloon. It's in very good condition but has done about 116000 miles. If anyone can give me any pointer on things to check It'll be much appreciated Cheers Linx :)
