I no of someone who went to pick up there car after Duncan had mapped it at a local garage and it wouldnt start and someone else was brought in to sort it aka Andy Carr who i only here good things about....i dont think you can ignore peoples view like piggsniffer as he,s telling his experiance and that would defeat the object of the forum ?but if you hear a lot of bad experiences from people they cant all be wrong and again if you hear a lot of positives of tuners etc i would generally go with that as we are all here to help each other get a good service and avoid any crap we have gone through with bad work 😎just my 2 cents 😂

Best oil around at the minute is millers nano drive in tests its proven to give a few extra ponies due to less drag have a google i was impressed and have started using it 😊also used shell helix which i think engine sounded the quitest from cold on and fuchs are also top notch ...i think most people use 5/40 oil as 30 goes a bit thin in summer okay for winter though.😎

I think the abs kicks in to early on my scooby and any other i have driven...if your having probs on your abs i no you havent stated what but on all my cars its nearly always been the reluctor ring on driveshaft either corroded loose or damaged teeth, they come with a new driveshaft but you can just replace ring they need a torch to heat up and shrink when cold to stay on😎

Scooby1972 replied to Shaqs77's topic in General Subaru Chat

Exhaust advise
Scooby1972 replied to Sirspidey's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
When i got my exhaust i did a lot of Google and phoning specialist and the majority recommended 2.5 over 3 inch bore piping there answer was 3 inch loses to much back pressure unless running high power ...i,m not saying 3 inch is wrong and 2.5 is right its just what i learnt,if you google it you will see thats the feeling regarding subaru,s among the gurus😎in reality theres probabley no difference your happy with 3 i,m happy with 2.5 and life goes on 😂😂 -
Exhaust advise
Scooby1972 replied to Sirspidey's topic in Subaru Engines, Exhausts and modifications
2.5 inchpipework is more recommend unless going over 350 bhp as gives more low down torque v35 turbo and a map should make a reliable 320 330 lts if you do a lot of heavy launches and are not very sympathetic the gearbox can go bang on a standard car😎😎 -
He may have done a decat in the upipe which means you need a a resistor to join wires and stop check light have a google loads of info..

wheel issue on 08 wrx
Scooby1972 replied to craigieboy46's topic in Subaru Tyres / Wheels & Suspension
Could be a offset issue these companies sell some weird offsets and list them for cars have a good look on the wheel should be stamped somewhere i,ve seen them listed in the 30s for offset and origanls are in the 50s so can put a stain on components.. -
Hi mate would love to go sent you my details only an hour from me ....best get the car polish out😎😎
-
Absolutely gorgeous looks like you have put a lot of time and small details into but worth it 😎😎

I got some all weather nokian this time last year really good in wet and that bit of snow we had kept them on all summer as haven't had time to refurbish my summer wheels with the new parada spec on, on amazing tyre I think for the limited snow we get good all weather tyres are the way to go work in low Temps good if we have a mild winter and good in the heat..these nokians have a bit of a bobbly tread pattern so the odd bit of snow we had they were amazing that's just my opinion as I don't think summer tyres are great with the really wet winters we have been having😎
