So on Friday after work I went and got my tyres put onto the new wheels and then fitted them. This means the old wheels are now for sale and I have put them on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143893139093 I really like the look of the new wheels but the car now needs lowering to make it look a lot better.

New black fender garnishes arrived this week. Wrapped the below panel on both sides and installed new fender garnishes 🙂

That's the plan 🙂 hoping to get some more panels done tonight and then again over the weekend. Got a few other bits I want to get done over the next couple of months too, so there should be plenty of updates.

Some parts can be quite difficult (front bumper) but if you are careful and patient it isn't too bad. Hopefully it won't take me too much longer to get it finished but I will keep this updated with progress 🙂

Finally opened the boxes to take a look at the wheels. They look so good. Can't wait to get them fitted now.

Hi All, A few months ago I ask for some advice in regards to fixing a scratch on my car when someone at work had hit it. I was torn between getting the panel painted or doing something I've wanted to learn for a while. I decided that I was going to learn to wrap my car. I also have a plans to do a lot of other work over the next few months so it can be ready to enjoy next summer. I have decided to start a build thread so anyone interested can see the progress 🙂 I have made a start on wrapping the car. It will probably take me a few weekends to get it completed in and around work. I have added a few photos of the progress made so far:

Hi All, A couple of weeks back my car got hit in my work car park and the other car has left a mark down the side. I was going to get just this part fixed but I noticed that I had a few other imperfections and marks. My question is how much would a full car respray cost roughly on a 2011 WRX STI and does anyone have any recommendations on who to go with? Another option I was looking at was wrapping the car myself (as it is something that I want to learn). Any advice would be appreciated.

I have had the issue before and as @Tidgy has said, it will need to be mapped out.

Ahhh okay, I guess that makes sense. The only other suggestion then would be to get a second hand part off of ebay to replace the faulty one?

Go to TDRacing. They will can map it out for you. I had this issue on my car and they resolved it for either £75 or £90, I can't remember which it was. It doesn't take long and they are really helpful.

I was going to order one to fit tomorrow but they had one in stock at a local car shop so I have been to get it fitted on my lunch break. Appreciate all the help though 🙂

I will have a look around at what is out there. I think the one I have in it at the moment is a bosch one.

Any brands to go for or does it not really matter with car batteries?

I thought it looked like where the secondary air pump went. That is why I asked which side it was on. Usually its either left in place with no power going to it or removed as you said and blanked off at the back. If it is blanked off correctly it shouldn't be the cause of any power loss. When does the power loss happen?

Where abouts in the engine is this blanked off? Is it to the right (passenger side) of the engine/alternator?

Will do mate. My mate works at a company that makes exhaust so he might be making one for me. Not 100% sure yet though.

Not too much so far. Mainly ascetic bits at the moment. Hoping soon to do new wheels, suspension, intake, full exhaust system and then a remap.

Looks great mate. I have never seen a grey one on the roads. I've only ever seen white and midnight purple (because I test drove them). Ended up picking up a black one myself. Have you got any plans for it in the future?

Great choice of car. I love the 11-14 shape Subaru's. Did you get the hatch or Saloon?

I used TDRacing when I had this issue. Left the air pump in place but mapped it out and it didn't take long at all. Was also a lot cheaper than getting a used pump.
