Haha yeah I know they can don't worry 🙂 Yeah I have noticed some coilovers have adjustable dampening and some of the tein ones don't. Which are the ones getting good reviews?

I feel like if I am going to have to replace the shocks too then it seems easier to just go for coilovers. I will have a browse at options today for my model and see what people recommend out of those. I want to go slightly lower that stock height but no too low. I have been through two front lips due to not seeing everest size speed bumps and smacking the lip off the floor. I think those cusco ones may be a bit out of my ideal price range but I appreciate all the help. I will take a look at the tein options then as well as a couple others.

I have had lowering springs on my previous hatch RX but I bought super cheap ebay springs and then had to get new shocks straight away. Wasn't sure if buying a well known brand would give me a better experience or whether coilovers were the way to go. My car has done around 75k miles now so thinking about it, if I did get lowering springs I guess there is chance I would need to change the shocks too?

I haven't really got a budget in mind at the moment. I have a lot of things I want to get done to the car ready for summer so I am trying to get a good balance for upgrades. It is also my daily driver so I don't want to start making the car too uncomfortable or unreliable. The aim is for the car to be a bit lower but also have a nice ride. I was torn between whiteline springs (if they are any good) or any other good brands as well as the ARB or a decent set of coilovers (preferably less than 1k). Obviously the price difference is quite big between the two. I have not heard of cusco before. Are you running their coilovers or springs on the daily? Any coilover suggestions appreciated 🙂

Hi All, I am after recommendations for suspension upgrades. I am in two minds at the moment on what to go with. Do I go for some lowering springs and anti rollbars or go for some coilovers? Is there any other options I should look into? Would be interested to hear what you guys suggest and what brands are best to run.

Hi All, It's been a while since I last posted on here. I'm looking for some advice and hoping you guys can help. I currently have a 2011 WRX STI but I am considering getting a cheap car to use a project car/A car to restore. The question is do I leave my current car as is (lightly modded) and get maybe a GC8 or other car as a project car. The other option is do I use the money to turn my 2011 STI into a really nice street car with some decent upgrades? Any suggestions and ideas are appreciated.

Hi All, The build has been quiet for a while until last week. I finally had time to get the car wrapped in its new colour and I am so happy with how it has turned out. It is not completely done just yet as I need to finish the side skirts and install the full HT Autos lip kit. Here are some pictures of it so far. I will add some more once I have the last bits done and the kit installed 🙂

So the new colour has finally arrived. Now to find the time to wrap it 🙂

So I now have the car back after repairs. They have done a great job getting the damage out. Now to decide on a new colour...

Not sure tbh. I'm opening the door just enough to get in so it doesn't scrape too bad. It gets collected on Monday to be fixed. Should be covered by the other persons insurance.

So I have had more bad luck. Someone reversed into me while I was queuing to leave tesco on Saturday 😞 My door and fender keep scraping of each other when I open the door to get in and out.

Yeah I get that. Got nothing against those cars, in fact some are very nice. But it is just a shame. I guess loud, fun cars arent for everyone lol 🙂

Not a fan that they are going down the auto and non turbo car route. It will be sad seeing the US and Japan getting new models and us getting nothing over here.

I agree, especially when they did WR blue for the US and Japan.

I do think a nice blue would look good on my shape tbf. Especially as we didn't even get a WR blue for the 11 - 14 STI in the UK. There's too many colour options to choose from

Is that the darker, more navy colour blue?

There are so many colours I think would look good, including he satin black. Maybe I need more cars lol 🙂
