I know it's addictive 🙂 That's why I have taken it slow so far. But I will have had the car for 3 years in June and it needs some changes. Not a huge fan of the stock wheels on the 11 - 14 STI so want to change those too. I will keep a camera handy and make sure to film/take pictures for updates. Any other upgrades people think are worth doing please let me know (and what I should look at upgrading first)

I agree. I went down when my secondary air pump failed to get it mapped out as was cheaper than replacing the pump (which is only used on cold starts). Really friendly and helpful and couldn't stop myself asking questions while I was there. Obviously that lead to talks of more power lol 🙂

Map is definitely something I want to get done. I don't think the one with the 340R pack is the best. I have spoken with TDRacing and they suggested downpipe and intake then a remap with them. Would like to do some more trackdays but this car is also my daily. I will have a look into the options you have suggested. Thank you 🙂

Hi All, I have a 2011 STI (GV) and I am looking at starting to do a few upgrades over the next few months ready for summer. So far the only things I have done to it are: - Rear muffler delete. - Cosworth air filter. - Brake and pad upgrade. Brembo caliper refurb (Finished in Yellow). - Hella Horns - Front Lip Spoiler - 340R Pack There are probably a few things I may have missed. Anyway I was just wondering what people think I should upgrade next? Wheels, suspension, intake etc. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks,

I had this issue a couple of weeks ago. I would recommend speaking to TDRacing in Warwick. Cost me £75 to have it mapped out.

Car has been fine now that the CEL off and all the other lights it throws up

No problem. I would rather keep the stock wheels over some rota's. Was hoping someone might be selling some Ray's, Enkei's or Works wheels for a good price. May just have to buy some brand new.

I have it booked in at a place near me to get it mapped out next week. It seems to be a lot cheaper to map out the air pump than get a replacement. Don't feel like paying £200+ for a used pump that could break again at some point.

Thank you for getting back to me. If I do get it removed will it still pass it's MOT? Also if I get it removed it will need a remap to get rid of the CEL. Can anyone recommend an Subaru specialists in the midlands that would do that for a good price? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All, This morning I got a check engine light when I started my car. After looking into the fault I have a feeling that it is the secondary air pump. Has anyone has this issue before? If so should I try and find a replacement pump or should I go down the route or EGR/air pump delete? Any advise would be appreciated.

Yeah this is the issue I have. Some people say don't as you can have issues and some say they haven't ran into any. I will have to see in the future as I will be doing wheels and suspension first :)

Whats the GFB BOV like so far? I was looking at getting one for mine but I wasn't sure if it would cause engine issues with out a re-tune?

Hmm if I had to describe I would say it is a rattle sound. It sounds like maybe a pulley or a bearing. Hope that helps.

Hi All, I have noticed that my car is making a loud noise on start up but it only seems to do it on a cold start. Once the car has warmed up a bit the noise completely stops. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks, Connor

Hi Everyone, I am hoping some of you may be able to help me with a couple of things in regards to wheels. I am looking at upgrading to some works or rays wheels but I am not sure what specs to go for without rubbing. I have a 2011 STI with stock suspension. Will an 18 x 9.5 et 38 fit my car without rubbing? Or should I for an 18 x 8.5 with 45 or 38 offset? I want the wheels to sit flush with the body instead of being tucked in. Any help would be appreciated :)

I am from the Midlands in England. A good set of discs and pads is definitely worth it. I thought parts for the hawkeye would be quite easy to get. I thought my shape was the hardest to find parts for but maybe I am wrong :)

Hi Mate, Nice motor :) In regards to brake discs and pads I would agree with ROSSCOSM. I use godspeed and they do good grooved/drilled discs and pads deals for a very good price. Enjoy the scooby :)

Hi All, I am looking for some new wheels for my 2011 STI. I am looking for some recommendations on wheels that would suit the car. I have a few ideas but looking to see what other people think. I have thrown in a picture of the car below to (so you can see the colour etc). Looking mainly for matte/satin black wheels. Yeah the stock exhaust on the 2011 STI does not sound great. Probably due the the mufflers being HUGE. I really like the tone of the exhaust now but as I said in the last comment I may upgrade the exhaust soon anyway, so it will sound different again. Have other upgrades in mind before then anyway.
