So, there hasn't been much to update recently. I did get a new replacement wheel so I am back on the road. More upgrades to come soon though. Did manage to get out for a shoot with my friend yesterday. I have added some of the photos below: I am tempted to wrap the car again already too. Not sure whether I want keep the satin black (which I do love) or try midnight purple. What do you guys think?

I will have to have a look into different options now. I'd rather use it for something and not waste it.

If it was a 12 spoke wheel that would be ideal but it is only 10. Table is a very good shout. Replacement wheel ordered. Luckily they still had 2 of my model and spec in the UK.

Had an update from my friend who is a mechanic and a few repair places and they have said that the wheel should be replaced and not fixed. I will have to order a new one. Any creative ideas on what I can use the old one for?

Nightmare is how I would describe it too 😞 Yeah it was and what's worse is there was nothing I could do. I think I'd have been less annoyed if it had happened by me doing something stupid, because then it was my own fault.

I think it is just dirt but I will double check later. It looks like just the lip area that's damaged. Not sure if it is repairable or not? Yeah I will check suspension as soon as I can, hoping it isn't too bad though.

So I hit a patch of ice under the snow as I came out my street this morning 😞 So frustrating that this has happened, not sure if it is worth repairing or replacing? Looks like it could be cracked. Not sure if there is any suspension damage or not yet.

TDR is who fixed the issue for me. The blanking plates are good although I have just left the pump in place for now and had it mapped out, so the plates aren't priority. The only reason I can think why they might say it can't be mapped is if the ECU is not tunable maybe? I don't know very much about tuning sorry. But as Jay said ring a few specialists up and I am sure they will be able to point you in the right direction. If not there are loads of breakers on ebay so you may be able to pick up a used one cheap?

Yes that's the secondary air pump as I thought it would be. It seems to be a fairly common issue. Replacements can be expensive and even used ones can be pricey. When I had this I got it mapped out. It's a lot cheaper and you don't have to worry about it again after that.

Looks to me like the secondary air pump. If you have a more zoomed out picture it would be easier to confirm. If it has failed then the engine management light would appear until you either get it replaced or mapped out.

I have the aux and mic plugged into the back of the new unit.

May have to get in contact then. It seemed to work with my old unit but the new one no luck. There was two cables off the back of the old unit that the new one did not have. Could it be one of those? Or are the steering wheel controls part of the loom?

Me too, this is actually satin black so it has a bit more of a shine to it compared to matte. Yeah it was not fun doing that part at all 😆

So I bought a new head unit and fitted it on christmas eve. It wasn't to bad to install although I did cut my hands a lot trying to connect up the parking brake cable. Car play works really well on it too. The only issue that I have found with it so far is that I cannot seem to get the steering wheel controls to work. If anyone has any idea what I need to do for that it would be great 🙂

Hopefully that will make it sound a lot better. I got a muffler delete when I first got mine as it was way too quiet, but will being going for a full upgrade this year. In regards to head unit I replaced my on xmas eve with a pioneer SPH-DA230DAB. I went with that one as it had apple car play. Liking it so far.

So after many hours of work wrapping the car in the evening and many late nights the car is finally complete. It turned out surprising well but it isn't 100% perfect (not that it is possible for it to be in the first place). There are still a couple bits to wrap to properly finish it but I am happy with it right now. Next part to wrap is the front grille and the spoiler. I also repainted the front lower grille in black as it had a lot of stone chips in. I need to reinstall that later today.

Welcome back and great choice of car. I have a 2011 one and like you I also love this shape. You don't tend to see many of this shape around (well from my experience). What plans have you got for it?

Also this weekend I spent a lot of time and very late nights trying to get as much of the wrapping done as I could. I would say we are about 85% complete now.
