Has the mechanic given you an opinion and quote already? Are there any other signs that it could be head gasket? when was the coolant last changed? It has never been refilled with just water has it? I know Mishimoto's radiators come with lifetime guarantees so it might be worth replacing with one of there's, then if it breaks again they should replace it.

I went for Godspeed's j hook discs all round with rc5 front pads and carbon rears. Also fitted hel brake lines and used performance friction fluid. really good setup and no fade on 4 x 20 minute sessions at brands hatch

The 2.5 engines have issues associated with them which you should look up. other then that check the servicing, brake and tyre wear etc..

I got eibach front 23mm and rear 24mm from demon tweeks, made the car a lot more stable in corners feels like a better balance between over and understeer, letting me power on a little sooner / harder out of corners. They come properly powder coated unlike the whitelines that are made for Australian sun. just keep in mind if you want to do the front you will have to drop the lower subframe to undo the arb mounts.

Thanks guys. obviously interior has changed a bit, I've recently had 6 speed box, skimmed flywheel and new clutch fitted along with group n engine and gearbox mounts, and I upgraded the discs, pads and fluid a couple of days ago. Ive got twins coming in June so plans are on hold at the moment. I want to tackle the car one area at a time. That being said I'm really pleased with how the car is at the moment so I'm going to enjoy it for the next year whilst I do some saving. I Will then look at refurbing the sub frame and upgrading all the suspension. yep had a go round brands a couple of weeks ago :D

Hi, Had my WRX since last summer and love it to bits. Car was pretty much standard apart from from some Ebay bolt on bits which I binned to bring it back to standard. I did however keep the tein springs and the cat back exhaust that were on it. I then started to make changes from there. Here's the car now..
