I got it out. Undid the heat shield on one side. With a little wiggle our it popped. Thank God it didn't go into the engine x

Managed to drop a 10ml socket down the front of the engine and I can't blooming see it. You can imagine my response to doing it. So now need to buy a camera thingy to look for it. Bugger

I had one of those given to me last year. He now sits on the back parcel shelf. Funnily enough the chocolate didn't last long lol x

Oh dear I tried to spruce up my alloys and lacquer them however they wouldn't clean up nicely. On the upside tho a man down the road was selling his 17s so I now have those hehe

After spraying my small front grilles green yesterday. I got round to de-orange the front with new clear indicators and repeaters. I'm chuffed with the look. I know it was only a small change but it's much better.

Rubbing down and priming these tonight ready to paint green tomorrow 😆

They were brilliant. Had everything I need and we're very helpful. Got a cuppa out of them to. I did get some shocked looks by the men shopping in there when I tottered in in my high heels. It was almost a ooooo a woman in a man's shop look. The bloke behind the counter knew me and chuckled.

Bought some clear side repeaters and indicator lenses. Then popped out for a little drive to a local car paint shop to get bits to de-orange the car, spruce up the alloys and clean the engine bay and pipes

Me and the old man plan on taking our cars for the weekend. We're hoping soc were having a stand so we could join in. Not booked tickets yet. But definitely going one way or another. I am a member of an all girls group who have a stand. The old man will have to tuck his old man in if we go with them lol. Will pop over and see you tho.

Fitted my dump valve myself. Only a little job I know but feeling proud I could do it. This is a result for me as ive never really been near a car engine before other than checking fluids and oil levels lol. Went for a little drive to my drug (subie parts) dealer who fitted a new fuel pump for me, as the stock one was struggling to keep up with the change in exhaust causing the car to backfire and stall. Had an extended drive home giving it a little welly. And have to say problem solved so far. Also eyed up (reserved) larger spoiler with larger front vent, 17" black alloys ready for next year 😆😆😆.
