  1. I would have thought so, but most guages come with the sender unit and wires included. Do you have the guage already? Never fitted oil guages myself.
  2. I order my tyres online and just get my local kwick fit to fit them.
  3. As long as you do the normal checks when buying a car you shouldnt have any Problems, just make sure it has a full service history. I'm keeping mine standard, but you can do all the usual such as De-cats, Induction kits, Dump Valves ect just bear in mind any power mods will require a remap. If the car has had a remap in the past this should save you the cost of the license to remap the ECU.
  4. Welcome to the Club. As long as you like scoobs your more than welcome. Even if your dad has turned to the dark side :)
  5. Forgot to say, If you do have a full De-cat bear in mind it will more than likley fail an MOT. Maybe it would be a good Idea to run it round to a local subaru specialist to give it a once over confirm the decat situation. Looking at Scobbynet it seems (SW) MOTORSPORT- 07956119962 in Penicuik was getting rave reviews.
  6. Weclome and another vote for having a decat fitted. Easiest way to tell is look under the car and if the the exhaust pipes are the same diameter all the way along you have decats fitted. There are normally 2 cats you can sdee quite easily. the 1st one will be coming from the back of the turbo. If you look at the back of the turbo and there is a bulge and like the one in this pic (pics are not correct for your car just gives an idea of what to look for. It has a cat on the Down pipe. If there is no bulge its a decat if it has a smaller Bulge but no heat sheilding it will have a Sports/high flow cat. The centre pipe has a cat near the front If there is no bulge its a decat.
  7. Ohh I know the Black STI In pics 19 & 20 he fitted my Stereo head unit for me :)
  8. Best bet would be to contact Subaru breakers. Gambit posted a list of breakers here http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/593-subaru-breakers-for-parts/?hl=breakers
  9. Welcome :) Just down the road from me. If you are intrested the Surrey Scooby Club meets at the Fairmile, Portsmouth Road, Cobham, Surrey, KT11 1BQ every 2nd sunday of the month. They will be there from 12:00 this sunday.
  10. WOW you must spend more time polishing that do driving :) looks fantastic.
  11. Fantastic :) Very expensive hobby Group N rallying. Good luck getting it back on the road :)
  12. Also the American Top Gear with Tanner Faust is Pretty god, they showed the 1st season on BBC3 but I havent seen anything more if it since last year.
  13. Yeah it was Scotland :( bit more than 40 miles from London though Sorry but if you are watching Top Gear for consumer advice that went out the window when the 1st version of Top gear was canceled, They had Noel Edmonds, Clarkson and a few of the old Tomorrows World presenters doing it. as iot was a serious consumer show back in the Day. After it came back 10 years ago, the programme had moved away from consumer advice to just 3 blokes messing around in cars. Even if it is staged, set up or planned its still entertaining TV, just don't expext any serious motoring news or reviews. Top Gear is the Soccer AM of Car TV. Just watch it and enjoy it for the silly show it is. Top Gear is still better than 5th Gear any day of the week for entertaiment, for a slightly more consumer oriantaited show 5th gear fills a hole, all the entertainmnt type stuff is just ripped of Top Gear, instead of a Star in a reasonably priced car they put a sportsman in a supercar.
  14. Did anyone see Top Gear tonight? Apart from the laughably set up taxi race, which was still kind off fun, does anyone know what A or B roads Clarkson was driving the Ferrari F12? He mentioned Letchworth and Hertfordshire which isn't to far from me and the roads and scenery looked mental. Duggie Lampkin is a legend I remember seeing him on Kick Start Jnr and his dad on Kick start back in the day. Everyone sing along ..... Der der der derlldle lerdele der der derder der.
  15. Well you certainly have the roads around you to enjoy the car to its fullest :) welcome to the club.
  16. Anyone playing real racing 3 iOS? http://www.ea.com/uk/real-racing-3-ios If so add me as a game centre friend, would be good to race your times. Game centre name Scooby_pete.
  17. Doh I'll get my coat. I lost track of which thread I was in, thought it was one of your threads, serves me right for having multiple windows open.
  18. 1st option and cheapest is to change the pads. I have always used EBC pads from ecb direct.com good price quick delivery. Upgrading the brake pads will give you better more positive braking. The only reason to change the discs is if: The steering wheel wobbles under hard or prolonged braking. This means the discs are warped, and you should really replace them. The discs are badly worn and you have a produced lip around the edge of the disc. You could get these skimmed, or replace them. I will have to change my discs as I noticed they have quite a bit of wobble when braking from 100 down to 50 without really braking that hard. I'm going to go for EBC Turbo Grooved discs, with EBC yellow stuff (fast street/track) or more likely the Red Stuff pads (street/fast street) I ran both types of pads on my classics and felt the red stuff were the better option if your not raggin it a lot and just driving normally with a bit of playing about every now and then. If you are going rag it a lot then the yellow stuff would suit better, still work ok as an every day brake pad but you have to ask is it worth the extra £35 for the yellow stuff pads.
  19. Hahahaha thanks :D, sorry to laugh but that's a model car I race and printed out some decals for. It's not much bigger than a coke can. Wish my real car did look like that though :)
  20. Welcome Ahh the steep and slippery never ending slope of Modding. Having to restrain myself for starting on mine
