  1. 2008 Hatch, wouldn't have been close with the Classic 1995 either.
  2. As far as I know, a pannel filter won't require a remap where as with an induction kit a remap would be more benifical.
  3. Welcome :)
  4. Tbh I'm not an expert but from the pic you posted you bottom left pulley looks 180 out to me. Hopefully some one with more technical knowledge would help. Personally I would call a local specialist to a least have a look and tell you what the problem is.
  5. Unfortunatly thay are all about the size of a coke can :( This is my other passion 1/28 Small scale RC racing. they are by Kyosho and run on AAA batts and can go about 50kph. I run a club called West London Mini Racers www.wlmr.co.uk. Here is a Video of one of our meets. http://www.wlmr.co.uk/apps/videos/videos/show/17202259-crossover
  6. Welcome :) Are you looking for new or 2nd hand bits?
  7. Lovely color, agree on the wheels though sorry.
  8. Sounds like you've done preety much everything if it were me and seeing as you are in Surrey I'd get in touch with James @ Greenwood racing developments or Dan @ Surrey Subaru Specalists. I've had dealings with both, very good. I would also suggest visiting http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=77 as they both have forums in the Trade section there there along with Simon @ Jolly Green Monster they all have very good reputations with the Surrey Scoobies Membership.
  9. Woohoo another Hatch. Welcome :)
  10. Looks great but as has been said its not a scooby. RWD most of the car's design by Toyota, sold as 3 different cars, Subaru BRZ, Toyota GT86 and the Scion FRS, it's a schizophrenic. TBH I can't see why Subaru got involved in this, it's a complete side step from their existing range and market and the car is not good enough to bring new owners to Subaru. They have compromised the BRZ too much to get any enthusiasts into it. It seems to occupy an even smaller niche market than the Impreza does. They should have put the money in to a new WRC programme. That's what has sold the car in the past. And why do I keep calling it a BRZee rather than a BRZed?
  11. South east impreza's are pretty good. They bought my car from me and I have bought parts from them in the past. 07891129485
  12. http://youtu.be/BLT0sudAGtU
  13. Nice car if you are that picky over the paint it might be worth considering a detailer doing a paint correction on the car, much cheaper than a re-spray and a lot quicker.
  14. Car looks so much better :) 2 points you raised in the thread. The classics pre2000 do not have an OBD connector. There are no plugs for diagnostic machines or any OBD equipment. They have a black and green plug under the dash to diagnose CEL's and thats all :( I posted more details on another thread. The bonnet on the Imports were made as you guessed from aluminium so are much lighter and more sort after. UK cars had steel bonnets.
  15. Yeah I remember that, but I'm old too!! How about this? http://youtu.be/okRea54TE_w
  16. I followed this thread on Surrey Scoobies for doing the Engine. http://www.surreyscoobies.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=35395 Bought the product from polished Bliss cost about £35.00 http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/ It's not perfect but I needed more shade and a few diff size brushes. 1 tooth brush isn't enough. Here's the Before: ] Here's the After.
  17. I gave the car a good going over yesterday. 1st off I washed it with Auto Glym shampoo conditioner, then went over it with Meguiar's mist and wipe quick detailer and clay bar, then washed it again, then used Auto Glym super resin polish and finished off with Auto Glym extra Gloss protection. Took me about 5-6 Hours and the car looks amazing. .
  18. Yeah I was thinking about this and thought it may be the crank shaft sensor or a leak in the induction system. Do you know how to do the CEL check? There is a green male and black female plug under the steering wheel you connect turn on the ignition and watch the CEL flash like morse code to give you the fault. This thread on scoobynet shows you how and has the fault codes as well. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/general-technical-10/793200-check-engine-light-flashing-help-please.html May point you in the right direction. If you car is the later one with the OBD connector you have to get someone with a reader to check the codes for you.
  19. I 2nd the maff idea, See if a mate who has the same maff can come round and swap them over to test it. You can get mafs pretty cheap these days.
  20. Yeah depends on the MOT tester. Last time on the classic he couldn't get the fog loght to work as he couldnt find the switch. Still passed it though. I do hate that I have yellow sides and white headlights. Think I'm convinving yself to swap out for LED's
