Hi all, I had some Heko wind deflectors on my 2008 STi, and am looking to get them for my 2015, i cant seem to find them on the website. they do have these but im not 100% they will fit the STI and i dont want to spend the cash if they don't fit. In this wonderful time of isolation and staying in my battery keeps going flat and I have to use a booster pack to jump start the car, so I have been looking at a Solar Battery Maintainer from Halfords, they only do click and collect these days so you have to pay online. It would nice to use our discount but looking through the site I cant find anywhere that has a code we can use to get the discount. Anyone know what it might be?

Fitted LED DRL’s today (way too bright for night time 😳), wanted to fit LED fog light bulbs as well it’s a shame the body of the actual LED part was too big to fit through the hole of the reflector 😩 Also fitted some cheesy door lamps someone got me from wish, only double sided tape so easy to remove when I got bored of them.

Cheers Savage, I ended up with some T-cut colour fast which has done a fairly decent job, I haven’t got round to doing a polish yet as it’s way too hot and I don’t have any cover. will def check out, Clay cloth I need to get a new cloth anyway.

Hey all, been awhile since I posted here, I'm back with a new Scoob, had it a couple of months now and already some &**%&$* has scratched the front wing so I am looking for some pigment polish or wax to touch up the scratch. Any recommendations?

Selling my 2008 STI type UK Hatch PPP 330bhp (it’s not a 330s) 69.5k miles. It’s got a few dings and scrapes on it (front ns wing, front os wing, rear ns passenger door and wheel arch and the rear ns corner of the bumper) so I’m not expecting top money for it. It’s essentially stock, except for a pioneer sat nav reverse cam (can supply original radio unit), kart boy short shift and a Cosworth panel filter. It’s got a full up to date service history. Cam belt was changed at 44.5k miles. Mot till November 2019. £7500 ono Based near Heathrow

2nd set of Vredstien for me at the mo, I've ran Toyo in the past and they always seemed a bit on the soft side and wore out alot quicker. I guess Subaru must have sold all the tooling and presses to them for the old forrester, Daewoo bought all the old tooling and presses for the astra from Opal years ago and sold the Daewoo Lanos via Halfords LOL!

Pretty much the core of Surrey Scoobies owners club have all had their cars insured by Gary for many years and I've never heard a bad thing about them as a broker apart from the difficulty in getting hold of Gary. I have been with them for over 12 years, never ever had an issues with claims as they are a broker and you call the actual insurance provider to make the claim, they do everything by post so you have paper copies of documents and such. if you do go with Keith micheals make sure you check who the provider is and don't have a policy from Market Study as they have kicked and screamed over claims from a few people I know.

lol wonder who gets the reference 😃 Can anyone tell me which years power steering pump are compatible with a 2008 Sti hatchback? I tightened the belt too much and now the bearing is starting to grumble so thinking a replacement may be in order and 2008 cars are few and far between with breakers so hoping an earlier model power steering pump will bolt straight on. My other option is to get the existing one to be reconditioned but can't really have the car off the road for a week whilst it's sent away for to be worked on. cheers Prince Adam aka Scooby Pete 😉

I've also heard that the Hid put out alot more heat, I would think high temp paint. How about the Downpipe? I had mine wrapped and I also had a trubo Blanket (have to remove tin heat shields though), both help reduce heat soak.

I've been running an 08 STi Type UK (Prodrive map to 330bhp) for about 4 1/2 years, it's serviced every year has an oil change every 5k Miles. Standard under the bonnet except for pannel filter and I have had no problems what so ever (touch wood). Previous owner was a lady driver (I only mention this as I don't belive she had ever ragged it) . I know the dealer it was originaly purchased from and all the service's were carried out by them up to the point I took ownership of the car and I spoke to the service manager who checked the history of the car for me aswell. It seems to be luck of the draw, although I would say if its been ragged then the chance of issues are greatly increased. My only advice would be to keep up the services in the book and don't rag it (Spirited driving is Ok though :)) to reduce the chance of either HG or Ringland issues.
