  1. As above can anyone give me a list of turbos that will bolt straight onto my UK classic 98 I want the car to make around 330bhp maybe a bit more but there are so many turbos out there I just haven't got a clue Now I do a fair bit more town driving over motorway driving and I'm hoping to do a few track days next year so what ones would be best but I need a full list just in case I can't get hold of a certain one Thanks
  2. Is the wiring loom just a straight swap or is there more to it
  3. As above I need some info on reshelling my classic because its not in the best condition and iv found a sport in immaculate condition, right the engine part I know is the easy part I can fit that with no problem but how hard is it to do the electrics because im no good with that part
  4. Yes it was but I got one from east kent subaru's in the end and it worked a treat All iv got to get is the ngk plugs for it to run perfect but I will have that from you next week if that's ok coz money is tight at the moment but are they easy to plumb in
  5. Ok cheers for that the car is getting mapped at the end of January so I will get them to fit it then thanks
  6. As above is it an upgrade or any advantages if its possible to fit a 3 port instead of the 2 port that is fitted to my car at the moment
  7. For sale is my spare exhaust that came off my 98 classic it is a 3in from turbo back with sports cat and 4in tip ,its got a nice sound to it but its not in the best condition coz the down pipe and middle section have been welded together but you might be able to grind it off Not sure on the make but I think the previous owner said the cat was a cobra which are really expensive but this is ideal for mot day Collection from gravesend kent or you can send a courier £45 no offers
  8. Yeah I will do but in all the years that Iv messes around with cars Iv never had to adjust the gap on a plug but everyone keeps saying use ngk plugs but the ones that came out my car where Bosch supers and they performed really well in my car so I'm not sure what one and to use now
  9. Cheers for the info guys but I will be getting new plugs because the ones that came out are only bosch supers and cheers savage because I can't afford a new maf at the mo
  10. Yes I will be putting a new maf on, i did put up a wanted post on here to see if anyone had one, but I'm not too clued up with all this so because the maf has gone and because I kept on trying to start the car it actually sent the plugs black is that right
  11. If that is ok yes please mate
  12. What happened was the car just cut out on me pulling it out the garden and then after that the car would only run for 5 seconds then cut out again but then after a day or so it wouldn't start at all, so I checked the maf and the top of it was full of water some how so I dried that out and it just about started so then I changed the plugs for some really cheap ones from ecp £2.30 each lol just to see if it was them then it started on the button but really hesitates at 4K and struggles to go past 4K but does eventually but to the previous question the car kept on getting started but then turned off again with the original plugs hope that makes sense to someone
  13. Iv been having a lot of running issues with my classic lately but can anyone tell me if these would be causing some of the issues thanks
  14. Iv got f1's on mine at the moment and I can't fault them in anyway
  15. As above has anyone got a purple maf for a 1998 v4 classic because somehow my one got water in it and is now knackered thanks
  16. Yes Iv checked both sets of fuses and no I haven't got a hidden pad anywhere but Iv just checked to see if I have got a spark and I have but it is very weak (hardly there)
  17. Iv checked all fuses and relays under bonnet but nowhere else and I took the fuel lines off both sides just incase but Iv been reading and I'm sure it's a immobiliser problem
  18. And it did start up straight away after cutting out but it did have to go to 0 position
  19. It has a stock alarm on it and it ran perfect just for those seconds but I haven't checked the vac line but it isn't staring at all anymore but I did take the fuel line off at the filter then turned the car over and it filled a bottle up within seconds so I don't think it's fuel related anymore
  20. How do I check that one then
  21. Right I checked both sensors and they are fine I also took the fuel pipes off the filter to make sure the pump is pumping and it is and I don't think it's the maf because it would start even if it was knackered because Iv left it off before, when turning it over it does want to start but it just don't so I haven't a clue what it could be
  22. Thanks for all that I will be checking them in a bit and I will post back soon
  23. I made sure there was fuel in there first,I put £7 in it and no the cel light isn't on and I can hear the pump when I first turn the key but I'm 95% sure it's fuel starvation
  24. As above yesterday my car was running really nice with no issues but today I went to get it out the garden and it would only run for 5 seconds then cut out but it would start straight away but cut out again, but now I went to get it back into the garden and it wouldn't start at all so what are people's opinions coz it's got me puzzled thanks in advance
  25. as above has anyone gone to trax because I need a massively favour
