Anyone got one or recommend anything ? Changed my rear door component speakers and put coax ones in now I've lost the low end I'm looking at options, don't really want a massive sub in the boot seen a couple of little active kenwood ones for around a ton and wondering if people have any experience with underseat units. Theres supposed to to be an option fit one that goes in the rear cubby box on the foz but they appear to be like rocking horse !Removed!.

Stay away from anything french ! Guaranteed that most of the interior trim will squeak or snap off. Parts seemed to be double the cost of the ford/gm option's and I hated both laugua's I had lol. Really heavy clutch in that and the clio. Not the best for sitting traffic. What kind of budget do you have ? Tdi golf with a remap and dpf removal, end up with a rapid car. Much nicer inside that everything else on the list but still command good money. Like gambit said go for the other vag cars. Either the seat or maybe a diesel skoda octavia or fabia. Cheaper to run insure but reliable

Do you have an aftermarket head unit or have any gauges been installed in the past ? Somone could have tapped into the live and may be overloading everything

Just a propesed idea, How about if nick and anyone else traveling up meet those of us from leeds then head up and meet everyone travelling from the north. Just leaves the peeps from the east/west but of we can get that sorted it's all good

Do you have a wilkos near you ? They had poorboys stuff in one of he larger stores near me. Don't know if they were trying to get the brand in and keep regular stock though

Hi, did you work out if the car had been remapped ? Having the standard ecu in place may mean it has had the esl treatment. Normally the mapper will bring an identical ecu with the daughterboard swap it then map the new ecu. You could always take the top off to have a look, Agree with jay nice colour very distinctive :-)

Somethings obviously overloading the system, Is there the correct fuse in place for the cig lighter under dash ? May be worth checking both boxes. If they are present and correct maybe see if it needs grounding ? Cluyching at straws here but worth a try

Tested speakers and thank god I don't have to pull the head unit again, so one duff one only 8 months old so emailed manufacturer explaining how I don't have box or receipt and I'm disappointed in quality. They were only 40quid but hey. So email comes back saying take to nearest stockist (halfrauds) with a print out of correspondence amd they'll change them no questions :-D Thats what I call customer servive

Some cheepo chinese dongle and torque profrim the app store, all in cost about a tenner. Works and the torque app is great to have on phone. Does all kinds. Unfortunately won't work on my foz as not odb2

Needed to get my alarm accredited no paperwork when I bought the car, so went to clifford auth installer who searched database checked alarm and issued certificate. Needed to double check serial number on unit, trouble is whoever installed alarm put it right behind centre console then installed car kit on top of it. So my entire dinner break was spent removing the dash to find sodding thing. Since putting it back together I have lost sound in my rear speaker so out with the tools again tomorrow

And if you drop it its screwed. Plus side you can use it on your wheels Only go in one direction too. I was so paranoid of scratching the car I used a hosepipe on trickle. Haha
