  1. How warm were the oils ? Mine makes horrible noises 1st thing when i come out of my drive (steep slope)
  2. I've got a gauge wired into some stuff under the dash so i'll take a look for you tomorrow during daylight :-D
  3. At least the turbo didn't decide to take anything with it on it's death. Hopefully will be the end of the problems, :-) I think people try and do an at home service and end up out of their depth. If you know your way around subarus it's not a problem, but for people just used to doing an oil and plug service on their drive can be a bit daunting, How did yiu clean the coils ? Just take off and clean or is there a more thorough way Cheers Mine went for a major service as soon as i bought her, mechanic said the box oils haddn't been done for a long time and whoever changed the plugs gave up in the rears as they were worn down so far it's a wonder it sparked.
  4. Haha cheers i'm on the phone so can't see them properly. Thought there was some more impreza bias going on again :-D
  5. stants

    Mx5 banter

It's the front end that lets them down, get a different one put on and it transforms the car Good ones are fantastic. Bad ones are ruinois money pits
  6. I think the thing that throws it is the name of the reatil park haha. I've you've never been past medowhall you wouldn't know it was there. Never mind we've got some things in mind for the next w yorks meet and a few more ideas in the pipeline, Typically i missed out on the photos again ! Gonna have to statt bribimg people to get in the shots hahaha
  7. Really sorry mate, i'll pm you me number next time. Phone had limited battery. Did you come down in th subaru?
  8. Sorry mate i was en route when you mailed. But late now but theres a few her
  9. I'm gonna aim to get there but may not be till about 8 at earliest
  10. i'm miss one week and it all goes !Removed! up ! haha i'll be available tonight : )
  11. I'm sure someone should be able to answer that, i've not done it on the subaru so wouldn't like to say. I guess access will be the biggest thing as they are usually located fairly close to the otherside of the bulkhead somewhere on the transmission tunnel, being 4wd i'm not sure what else may be in the way
  12. I'd deffo say it was the slave then, do you loose a little fluid from around the cylinder another good indicator ? With regards to cost i've no idea on subarus to be honest, but obviously a rebuild kit will be the cheaper option. But will involve removing and stripping down the unit so if you cant be arsed just buy a new one and change it
  13. Sounds like it could be the slave cylinder, normally a rebuild changing the seals or a replacement unit
  14. http://www.subarupartsstore.co.uk/category/Forester/Utility___Towing,b.html This should give you an idea of what to look for, obviously its genuine parts and the prices reflect this.
  15. http://subaru-impreza-body-kits.co.uk/rear-underbody-diffusers-lip-spoilers_4.html Tried these people ?
  16. Cheers sav, Like you say easier if the inlet's off thats half the battle facing the wrong way round. You don't happen to know if you need to drain the coolant ? Is it primed all the time or does the chamber only fill when running ?
  17. It's been years since i was down that way. If they are anything like the devon country roads expect really high hedges and very narrow roads tractors and having to reverse alot. Oh and really scratchy brambles : '(. Up on exmoor should be better more open and easily sighted roads, just be on the lookout for rouge animals.
  18. No worries looks easy but 90% of the time they are the biggest and time consuming ones !
  19. Cheers for the cleaner mate, nice to meet you :-D
  20. What time you thinking of heading down bosh ? Finish at 5 but need to drop my daughter at my mums so won't be heading down to sheff till 7 so i'll meet eveyone at the retail park
  21. Has anyone pulled apart and cleaned the control valve from an ej20 g/k ? Chasing back my slightly annoying idle i think it may be this. Done basic maf test, car stalled straight away and cel upon restart, boost solinoid will be cleaned a bit later today, the reason i think its the valve is it only happens from cold and it's not a massive fluctuation in revs and again no cel light. Gonna order a new gasket today the attempt to clean over weekend
  22. Haha if you'd told me i'd have done a money shot for you. Bosh it's on the way back towards the motorway anyway so only 50p more in petrol :-)
  23. Thank you ! I'm just in the process of trying to get the vav lines off the bottom of it. Right mission not moved for 17years don't want to rip it.
