  1. Right had a measure Couldn't work out exactly where you took yours from but here's what i came up with, all are a rough reading Strut top centre to centre 105cm Inner bolt to inner 95cm Top to top 102cm Outer to outer 122cm 5cm clearence from bulk head to top of i/c only thing that looks different is i have a hard pipe from manifold runs over top to the barke servo ? Can't see it on yours ? Saying that i've not been able to zoom in on yours
  2. My mate has a mk1 golf cab with the german plates i've always wondered how he gets it through the mot !
  3. He was an idiot, Considering the size of the front one i had on drove for 3 years with no trouble from the law. That was tiny Took it to a different place this year and they didn't even flag up the advisory for th anti roll bar that the tester gave it the previous year. Stick one ones aren't legal anymore but i know of plenty of 5 owners who nver have any problems. Benji. try craigs plates .if you want someone to make you the smallest legal one you can get away with without any hassle
  4. That bit was fine as it was the garage name of seller. It failed on the distance between the top and bottom line being too small by about 1.5mm laughable really
  5. also goes on the area available to display the plate, my eunos had the jdm rear finisher at the back, passed for 7 years on the original uk plate it acquired when it was registered in 2005 failied in 2012 due to this, spot the difference bottom plate fail, top good, even then the tester gave me and advisory as it wasn't uk spec ! like jay says depends on who you get and how much a jobsworth they are
  6. i should add found the oc by typing leather chapped driving enthusiasts into it, low and behold it returned a search of you !
  7. Cheers, as far as i'm aware it's the same, i'll go have a measure tomorrow and see. I'll just do it from the top of the centre of the strut tower. It was more the clearance round the back of the ic that i was worried about but from your picture it looks almost the same
  8. Haha cheers mate, i reckon it will fit, i've not even left the house today so i'll measure up tomorrow if you could post a pic up would be good, what size i/c have you got ?
  9. looking at this i think that they are both the same, as long as the brace goes behind the i/c then we're ok impreza whiteline brace http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Whiteline-Front-Brace-Strut-Tower-Mount-Behind-IC-Impreza-GC-Wrx-KSB551-/200965497223?_trksid=p2054897.l4276 forester whiteline brace http://www.h-dev.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=78_178_338_721_726&products_id=2553 so i guess i can just get one from scoobyparts or somewhere else save fifty bits and it will fit :)
  10. Go pro seem to be the standard in quality and i'd say for under two hunderd it would pay for it's self if the worst happened on the bike. They can stand up to some abuse and if they are good enough for ken bock and various motoring jurnos to shoot with they must be doing something right, depends if you can afford the inital outlay. They have loads of accessories and are a prety powerful peice of kit. The newest models have wireless capibilities
  11. Sav. Didn't think of that good shout batman! Maybe a case of trying to squeeze and extra 50 notes out of me for the privilage of having a different model
  12. True, just drawing up a list and prioritising things :-) 1 Numder one on the list before anything else is a waxoil before winter. Suppose if anyone has one on a classic. maybe they could measure up and clearence etc. The whiteline ones did look slightly different in the pic but without seeing one who knows
  13. Also will the car benifit from a hunter re alignment Any specific settings that can be applied ?
  14. Just don't vent your gas in tbe vicinity of anyone ! I'm thinking of keeping my a/c it needs a re gas though. Does the impreza strut fit the foz ? They seem to be cheaper than the foz specific ones (only ones i've come across are whiteline) Eventually everything will be re bushed. As and when they need doing. Praying he wishbones don't need it for a while as it's a fortune. Did it with my 5 made a 22 year old car feel new.
  15. There's a guy in NZ building a replica dbr1 he recons it will take him a couole of years if i renember correctly
  16. to be fair the interior of a car has never really bothered me,as long as it's a decent and comfy wheel/seat combo what else dose one need ? i spend 90% of the time looking out the windscreen so if my passengers don't like it tough don't ask for a lift ! number one pet hate is other people adjusting the heating or asking me to wind window up, i'm driving so i need to be comfy, i've changed the gaiter on gear stick just looking out for a nice new nob :D that will fit and feel nice
  17. I'm a sorry i couldn't make it. After never attending anything with my previous owners club i promised myself i'd be more involved as it seems to be a younger bunch of people. But outside forces conspired against me. Still birthday next month so will be an excuse to get out if nowt else.
  18. stants

    dash cams

Downloaded an app called auto gaurd, just not been out and about to test it. Seems to have loads of features. Just waiting to get a decent cradle now
  19. Haha, only place that needs a touch up is the n/s bumper scuff. The hail stone damage would be too costly to repair and hasn't broken the paint so it's all good. Think i'm going down the q car sleeper look. Does anyone know if the master cylinder stopper/booster for the impreza will fit mine ? Looks like it does but who can tell without getting hold of on
  20. car will be going in for it's mot in the next week or so after that i'll be putting a little bit of cash into some goodies, obviously cash is going to be limited until paternity/maternity leave is over so depending on what the nice tester throws up no big things, till next year gonna start with a new pitch stop and brake master cylinder, then look at new roll bar droplinks and various polly bush bits as and when time & cash allow, any one got any pointers as to any more bits that don't cost the earth but will improve things ?
  21. could we have some small ones that affix inside the window, (window stickers) the type you lick and stick ? i'd like to put something in the front screen but would rather have it inside
  22. Last 4 months been used 2 out of 5 working days and weekends but i suspect it will get some hammer every day now the little one's arrived. After having a 2 seater for 4 years i'm loving the parcticality of a wagon again. Plus it's discret enough to be able to annoy just about anyone when the mood takes me. Not having a stainless exhaust on just adds to it as most people think its a family run around.
  23. I would catch the bus. My brother's h/g went on his punto drove it for a week before he knew any different (he's. Rebuilt it for him inc head skim all new bolts etc, lasted about a week before it blew the bottom end apart, a load of rubbish had made its way into the bottom during the week he used it
