  1. Hey, Got a few bits available from recently scrapping my Bugeye wagon and/or swapping out bits on my Hawkeye... - Equal length stock headers for EJ205 engine (taken off my 07 2.0 R Sport). 2. Swapped out EL headers for UEL... Only a NA but damn it sounds good now ☺
  3. Hi all, Just got myself a 07 R Sport after sadly having to scrap my Bugeye GX - but it's nice to get back into a manual and have a little more power. Before leaving the Bugeye at the scrap yard, I did take a few bits off including lights, window motors, etc (all up on eBay now to offset the loss a little), also the gold Speedline alloys with decent tyres, WRX spoiler and the Prodrive backbox that had been crudely welded to the smaller stock mid pipe. Now, my question is about the backbox and a small area that's rotted away under the tailpipe... Can this be saved (bead of welding or something to fill that open wound perhaps)... Or is it worth saving?
  4. Lateral link bush kit sold but I still have the GX roof spoiler available... Will let it go for £15 delivered (UK).
  5. Hi folks, I have a couple of bits that I'd like to sell... The first lot was purchased just two weeks ago before I changed a rear wheel bearing - I watched one or two YouTube vids that showed major corrosion affecting that long bolt - thankfully, my came right out with no bother and this Lateral Link bushes/bolt kit is now surplus to requirements: Lateral Link Bush Kit with arm bushes, bolt, nut and washers for Impreza and Legacy. Original Subaru parts, new and in original packaging. Part numbers: 20251AA040 (bushes x2), 20540AA001 (bolt), 20550AA010 (nut) and 900335056 (washers x2). £30 delivered. I also have roof spoiler off my 02 Bugeye GX Wagon - I now have the bigger WRX spoiler for looks. Decent condition, a few marks/scratches but no chips or dents except one of the pins is broken (three still intact). It's in Blue Ridge Pearl (95H) and will fit all GX Wagon's from 01 to 07... I'll also put some new adhesive foam on the mounting side prior to sending. £20 delivered. Pics available on request. PM if you want either.
  6. Thanks for the info Piggysniffer. Definitely no impact on the running on the car, drove it home the 350miles with no problem whatsoever. Good fuel eco, etc. Driving down in the first place was a much hotter day, more traffic (slower speeds), etc, hoping perhaps it was just a "glitch". I don't normally do that sort of mileage on a normal week/month.
  7. I've no idea - so I cleared the code and will worry about it if/when it comes back. However, I did check the exhaust for leaks and all appears to be good.
  8. So, I ordered that code reader off the Bay and got it today. Works as it should and got this code; P0420. Read a lot about it on here and other forums and I've come to the conclusion that the code alone won't be enough to work out what needs replacing. I had a new cat put on the car less than a year ago, there's no rattles or horrible smells coming off it, should I look at getting sensors checked - some arguments about whether or not sensors would show their own code. Cheapest way of checking sensors?
  9. This one okay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Fault-Code-Reader-Engine-Scanner-Diagnostic-Reset-Tool-OBD-2-EOBD-CAN-BUS-/400614312910?hash=item5d46794bce:g:6WIAAOSwpDdU9r7t No laptop or smart phone so need a simple unit that can do it all
  10. I have looked and I know I should get the problem diagnosed properly. However, short of cash, I pay someone I can't afford the part, so I thought I'd ask for advice first... Travelled 300+ miles from Cornwall to Kent at the weekend in my Bugeye GX. No problems at all travelling down there until I was parking the car at the other end and the CEL came on (steady, not flashing). Drove back to Cornwall on Monday, no problems - no noises, no loss of power or anything, no affect on fuel economy, etc. I did a bit of research on here and other forums/sites (came across this page; http://www.samarins.com/diagnose/common-check-engine-light-problems.html) and the first probable diagnosis is the Lambda Sensor. Based on the info I've read - no loss of power, no stalling, idles well, etc, etc - is it worth paying out £40 for a new Denso Lambda Sensor first, without getting it diagnosed? I can always sell on the sensor if it doesn't solve the problem. Alternatively, anyone in West Cornwall with the right kit to diagnose for me... coffee and biscuits a-plenty on offer :o) Thanks
  11. Looking at these ICP front discs/pads on eBay for my 2003 GX. Don't need anything "high performance" and selling the car in a couple of months anyway... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270484133216 I've had tie rods/rod ends off them before but not brake parts, anyone used their brake parts before?
