savage bulldogs Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Thinking about getting a set of mud flaps for my classic as my wide offset wheels are chucking road grime everywhere [emoji53] Can anyone recommend a set that don't cost a fortune and don't require you to drill any holes (fit to the existing holes in the !Removed! guard's) Pics of them fitted would be good too [emoji6]
stants Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Your more than welcome to see mine but I guess they are genuine subaru as they've been on the car for a long time by the looks of it, so will probably cost the earth, how much you looking at ?
savage bulldogs Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 £40 ish I'd like to keep the early sti "spats" that fit to the side skirts and hockey sticks if possible. I've got a set of front oe ones on the uk but they're not mint and I'll have to remove the front spats to get them to fit
stants Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Looks like I may be off to a scooby breakers in Nottingham next week for a rear arb. I'll keep am eye out
savage bulldogs Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Would be appreciated stants[emoji106] maybey drop me a what's app if you spot some [emoji6] Here's a couple of pics to show how the front spats sit (with added road grime lol)
savage bulldogs Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 I recon the slim vinyl type would suit me better as hopefully they'll bend around the spats . Unlike the oe subaru ones as they're rigid plastic
quit Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I binned the subaru ones I had on the back were ****
savage bulldogs Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 They look ideal in size, cos i don't want dirty great big rally flaps How much were they , any links bud ? Did you have to drill any holes in the front wings? I don't mind drilling holes in the rear bumper but I've only just put the front wings back on after sorting the surface rust
quit Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I fitted mine to the arch liner mate , 2 are off will take better pics tomorrow mate and sizes I can't remembe where I got em from was only about 25 quid
Gambit Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I'm just looking at getting another set as I lost my front 2... don't ask ;) So was left with just my backs well one was a front moved it to my back end to balance it but I do think they help :) not just for looks,
Scoobyghost Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Scooby world have a lifetime guarantee on their flaps so if you lose one for whatever reason they replace it. Might be a bit pricy compared to others but always nice to have a lifetime of flaps. [emoji6]
savage bulldogs Posted January 5, 2015 Author Posted January 5, 2015 Rather partial to a nice set of flaps myself[emoji6] just not too keen on really big flaps that drag on the ground when moving [emoji4]
