Hi all,

Just see this on facebook and thought I'd join in.

I have a 1997 Prodriver WR sport ( The press car that was featured in performance car magazine December 1997) and

also no 35 of 200 McRae Limited Edition

Both currently undergoing mild restoration

Good luck ;)

The Mcrae. Number 35 of 200.

Poor old thing has been stood in a yeard for about 3 years. I bought it as a complete car but on collecting it was told some bits were missing. Engine blown but a replacement en route. After that it will be a repaint.

Incidentally, both cars have full documents and service history!

First viewing of the car

Still work in progress

Once the engine is in and running I'll get it to my mates bodyshop for a respray.

Both cars will be used as promotional vehicles for my oil and oil additive business's plus weekend and show vehicles.

I like to think they were way too nice to break and needed saving!

Big thanks must go to the guys at LRS in Canterbury, without their expertise these would be sitting for a long time!

Is that enough pictures?

great pics mate.. mcrae needs some TLC for sure.. keep us up to date with the project!

It certainly does mate. The engine I was getting fell through. Breaker says it was smoking a lot so have to wait for another one now.

In the meantime plenty of other bits to be getting on with :D
