Trueplayz Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Hi all basically thinking of a full wrap then a respray, wondering wot people think whether it's bad idea or good, don't wanna ruin the car wanna her looking back to mint
Buggyeye Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Respray will cost big money if you do it proper a wrap is about £1000? Give or take a few hundred depends where you go Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
Scoobydoobydan Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I've been quoted £1,000 on a wrap and 2k on a tidy up full spray or 4k for the all singing all dancing paint job. I'm tempted on a wrap too
Trueplayz Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Respray seems loads, so u reckon a wrap won't ruin the look or style of car, been looking all depends on wot style if any I want ranges from 900 up to 1400
Buggyeye Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 If it's a good company that uses good quality wrap it will be fine. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
Trueplayz Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 U reckon a plain colour wrap or like a carbon look or Matt, no it's personal preference just looking at people's thoughts
Buggyeye Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Whole carbon wrap will look tacky IMHO but matt would be OK but just make sure your happy with the choice Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
Scoobydoobydan Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Plain or Matt only!! But that's what I would do
Tidgy Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 full respray will sort out any hidden problem areas (such as arches etc), but cost alot of money for a decent job. Be very wary of cheap paint jobs thoughs, it's the prep and ime spent that makes a decent paint job, not just a quick squirt of paint
Xander Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Friend of mine dose car wraps and I am tempted. Its about £1000 to get it done as others have said but I would do that over a re-spray much quicker to be done and the wrap is tougher than paint so harder to scratch. It also keeps the pain under the car perfect. I have always said if I get a brand new car first thing I would do is wrap it so when I comes time to sell the off comes the wrap and I have perfect paint under it. I know a few people who get there car re-wrapped every year or so just to have something different.
timmyjk7 Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 For me it would always be respray as paint lasts longer that what is basically a decal. I can see why people go for a wrap as its far cheaper plus it can be done in a day rather than a few weeks. each to their own though :)
