Haha, same here. It was pretty interesting to see the actual BHP/ Torque graph and the shiny bodywork as well as my alloy wheels in a brand new state -)

    Engine should always warm to make any readings. Reset all errors, perform quick ride and go back to workshop.

I know this is an old thread, but that pic above got my attention :)

Didn't read all posts, skipped to the end after realising the date, but if it hadn't been mentioned already, on my Subaru auto (2001) there is a self diagnostics feature for the transmission.

It involves driving the car till warm, turning off engine with gear in 1, then with key on engine off move to...

1-2-1-2-3-D.

Mine flashed out a TPS code which my obd2 scanner didn't, don't know if it's just an old code I can't reset.

Thank you Mark. The error code for me remains the same

"Short or disconnection in engine torque control signal circuit "

 

What I'm unable to figure out is what is the engine torque control and what is responsible for that, but for a fact it's a loose/rusted connection somewhere most likely. I have been unable to find a mechanic to sort out this issue...
