Gambit
Top Gear News. Impreza Could Still Be Sold In UK And I would have one, looks great http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/subaru-reveals-wrx-concept-2013-07-
Miggs
i'd have one of them, trouble is it won't look like that if it's ever released
Scooby Pete
its more case of supplying it to the UK Market. TBH I think the Scoob fad has now gone, the fact we don't get to see any Sccobs rallying or racing, apart from the Irish rally on Motors TV or Global rally cross if its an X Games event, on ESPN. Compound that with the withdrawal of the impreza from the UK the market just isnt there anymore. What did Henry Ford say? Win on Sunday, sell on Monday. No Scoobs racing no sales :(
Miggs
vw's used to rally back in the day of Alister McRae in his yellow mk3 golf, they disappeared for years from the rallying scene, now they are back, might be a similar thing with the Subaru, we can but hope
Scooby Pete
Doubt Subaru will be back after the rules changed on classess, it's not worth Subaru spending the money to develop a straight 4 1600 turbo. I thought that was what the tie in with Toyota would be for so Subaru can use a Toyota engine in one of thier cars and produce a rally version. Unless the WRC reverts back to the World Rally car spec, I doubt we'll see Scoobs in the WRC again.
Gambit
I use to love WRC but think it sucks now to watch the people in charge of WRC at the FIA need there noggings bouncing off each others like conkers.
Miggs
Yeh I'm not as big a fan as I used to be tbf, I do enjoy the classic rallies when I get chance to go, made more fun when I'm with Dogma, guarantee he will be running away from the cars first time they get sideways, especially into 8 foot ditches that he thinks are a foot deep
Gambit
Sounds like me running away from the police :D As I think Pete said before Xgames is good but I enjoy And I hate myself for saying it. Almost as much as I would saying I like a Justin (sniggers... small !Removed!) bieber song. Rally America is a better watch for me but I have only found youtube as a place I can watch highlights :(
Gambit
It's possible it will look like it came across this :D But then there is this thing
Gambit
Some more news :) on the car It's like being an orphan child waiting for Christmas for a present you know you wont get. But I'm still excited ;) http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/the-brz-sti-is-coming-2013-08-05
Jay762
isnt that a different front end to the wrx concept above?
Gambit
Yeah I thought that from what I could see in the pictures, but if they make it even look a little bit like it I think it will be great looking motor :) Just hope Toyota avoid doing what they did with the BRZ
Jay762
well will certainly make the grey import a tempting proposition if they do
Gambit
I agree but they did say they would look at demand for the car in the UK so be interesting to see what happens on both front :)
Scooby Pete
I think grey imports will be the only way to get the new cars :(
Gambit
I do with the Tax and cost of fuel and insurance here. Same with the Type R's Honda stopped them coming here other then importing :( I just hope the UK do show interest in it though, other wise I can see other car's pulling out of high powered car being sold here :(
