January 28, 20169 yr Caliper bolts may also be a massive PIA to remove... I tried with mine but couldn't get them off... had to get it into a garage :/ and no electrics to worry about!
January 28, 20169 yr I would agree about the stuck slider pins . wears your pads out quicker and warps the discs !
January 29, 20169 yr Don't use copper grease on the pins, that's half the problem as it ends up breaking down and either cooking onto the surfaces or letting them seize. January 29, 20169 yr If you buy a new pin kit it should come with the break grease to use with the pins.

January 29, 20169 yr I wouldn't use anything apart from break grease ( not copperslip ), the last thing you want is to have them seize up again and have to do it all again !
January 29, 20169 yr If you live in the rust belt where salt is used on streets you might want to go to cheap on the rear brakes because they will rust out quickly. You will be changing rear brakes a lot. Invest your money in the front brakes that's that's where most of the braking happens . The rear brakes with the emergency brake/ parking brake is inside the little drum, be prepared to change those a long with get of those parts for those brakes. February 13, 20169 yr I bought genuine pads from the bay from alanpriceautos007 . only cost £24.95 and they come with all the clips and break grease which you don't get with pattern parts .
