lev1982
Connecting the blocks under dash shows no faults. Would it do this if ecu was dead. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
GeoffLeggy
1111 No codes stored 11 Crankshaft position sensor (Don't confuse with above, usually when the crankshaft sensor if dodgy the thing won't start anyway)
GeoffLeggy
This may or may not help. http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/How-to-read-clear-fault-codes-on-Subaru-inc-Impreza-/10000000002365952/g.html

lev1982
Anyone got any ht leads for a v3/v4 lying about they want to part with. If that works will invest in a new set. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs
I might have a working coil pack and ht leads for the v3/v4 in the man cave I'll check when I get home If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊

lev1982
Update. Just had someone look at car and strong smell of fuel when trying to start. Have been told an injector seal could have gone. Causing a massive over fuel. Gonna get the top off and check them. As well as drop out the spark plugs. Anyone heard of his before? savage bulldogs
Dud you disconnect the earth when having the welding done and Have you definitely got a spark ? Cos If you haven't got a spark and you have got fuel , it wouldn't be burning and it would smell rich . A blown injector ring would also give the same sort of symptoms but probably accompanied by a bit of popping and banging as it tries to fire on the other cylinders. If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊
lev1982
Battery was removed from the car completely. Definately getting a spark. All four ht leads gave me a jump. ( lack of a spark plug spanner meant an extension bar and hand were used lol) have been told that maybe a pop from the exhaust while reversing on to ramps could have blown a seal and it is now too flooded to start. Scoobyghost
I once had an issue with a poorly fitted fmic pipe slipped from the silicon join. Car ran like **** but limped home then wouldn't start but stank of fuel. Eventually it fired up and ran like **** for a bit before running right again. It was my first impreza. I had no idea what I was doing and that car cost me a lot of money before I sold it on 😱😓

lev1982
Just popping out to get a new lead for my multimeter. Just closed car door on it grrr. kayzarh
It happens, I snapped my intake to turbo pipe so I might have to pull the manifold again LOl Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
lev1982
Just took intercooler off and the y shape pipe underneath is fooked where it connects to turbo. Got a better seal but need a new one. Who ever fitted that wants shooting Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Scoobyghost
Possibly similar issue to what I had. After we reconnected all the pipework it took quite some cranking before it fired up again. Once it fired took some more time to clear through.
lev1982
Got someone coming to do a compression test tonight. I don't want to keep cranking the engine. Think I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and send it to garage. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
savage bulldogs
It does seem strange how it's stopped running without any symptoms beforehand . Have you had the cam covers off and checked the timing marks? If it's not broke .....upgrade it 😊
