BrandGunhouse
Looking at purchasing a turbo 2000 for roughly 2k-3k. Is it worth purchasing one for this price? As in will it have been looked after etc Service & Running costs? Common problems? Best/Cheapest insurance as the cheapest I can get is 2500 since Im 19? Worth re-mapping and adding parts to one with an engine around 100k mark? Cheers.
quit
You can find them unabused but it's hard Running costs : regular oil change etc , expect 15-20 mpg fsults engine knocking , whiney gearboxes , rust
Scoobyghost
That budget is reasonable. Standard cars are thin on the ground now. That insurance I think is the best you'll get so avoid imports. Check with specialist insurers like flux and Kieth Micheals. Modifying a car on 100k miles could be fine. It all depends on the health and the life the cars had. I'm on 173k with a few mods and remap since April 2015 with no issues. Just bare in mind the insurance premium for a modified car. Services are frequent but in your best interest. I do an oil change every 3k miles. I average 25mpg with a combination of motorway and spirited b roads.

Scoobyghost
Possibly. I do nurse the old girl and she ain't a daily anymore. Always carrying the boys doesn't help. Don't think the 2 month olds head would stay on if I gave it WOT
