What year /model is the engine out of and why did you remove it ?

Could do with a spare v1 p.s pump what version is it off ?

I got with out knowing about the different types  was going to put it in mine but it's earlier model, guy I got it off was going to put it in a beetle think he said that came out of a 97 wagon
